Great Harvest Bread Co.

I really hate to give locally-owned businesses a bad review, but my experience here is best described as "humiliating." They have ZERO allergen information posted, yet all but one of their loaves is made with an egg wash. This loaf is available only one day a week. There is milk in most of their breads, as well. They sincerely must post this information for the health and safety of their customers. They offer free samples of bread and topping without even mentioning any of this! Dangerous and irresponsible. Unfortunately, this is not my only issue with Great Harvest. When I inquired about ingredients, no-one seemed to know. The girl working the counter finally asked a higher-up—and when she returned, she appeared to find the issue hilarious, smirking and stifling laughter as she tried to explain that it is "not normal eggs, just an egg wash mixed with water." I had never been publicly mocked and disrespected like that, especially in front of family and other customers. I still can't believe it happened the way it did. Do the owners care about all their patrons—or just some of them? If they did, they would post allergy information. They would also do best to reconsider hiring such people before the business develops a reputation for treating customers this way. Take note.

Another home town success! Friendly family owned business with excellent food! Word is getting out so you may have to wait a moment if you are stopping in during prime time lunch hours. Let me assure you that it is worth the wait though.

Soup, bread and sandwich all were excellent. My first time and I got the roast beef on garlic cheddar. Tasty.

Great sandwich. Great bread. Hot flavorful soup. Quick service. Inviting atmosphere.
