As a local resident of Ucluelet I was keen to give the Grey Whale a try. Unfortunately having the owner shake her head at me because I sat down at the wrong unmarked table wasn't a great start. Then the internet Telus open - you have to sign on with your email kept kicking me off every 10 mins. Eventually it locked me out completely. Annoying music on the speakers. A cluttered environment. The tea was decent but I can't recommend this place.
Great coffee, great muffins, great icecream, and all with friendly service. A delightful place to stop for a coffee break.
Tried to come here on Sunday Sept 11 and Google says open everyday at 5:00am, on Facebook it says open at 6:00am and 5:00am on Sunday, it’s 7:00am right now it’s clearly was not which was disappointing. I wish they would update there house so I didn’t waste my time walking here.

Great gift items and delicious ice cream options ukee cone-delicious! We also received amazing service from the lady working the gift counter and again at the ice cream station!
It was yummy but they need more staff. I had to wait a while to pay for my purchases due to the staff helping people on the cafe side.
So many things to choose from! Gelato was tasty, but definitely more ice cream than gelato. The store has multiple checkout registers, ask the staff where should pay. It is different for each part and they accept different forms of payment.
