Overall a good Italian experience - plenty of menu items to choose from. We opted for Chicken Parm, Shrimp Alfredo & Whitefish. Service was okay. Ambiance was clean and welcoming.
Gratzi is one of the best places to eat in midland. Their food is always fantastic, their service is excellent, and the atmosphere is clean and elegant without being snobbish. I love going with my partner and really loved taking my child there for the first time for their birthday. By the way, always get a dessert. They are amazing too! Kid-friendliness: Kids meals are $5.95 and come with a drink and ice cream!
This place has always been great anytime I eat here. The espresso filet is the best. Kids also loved the pizza. Atmosphere outside was very family friendly and will definitely be back.
Wonderful experience. Great staff, great food. All in all I will eat here again! Chicken Marsala was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Pizza was light not too much dough but full of flavor.
The food is great They really try to elevate your dining experience.. service tonight was a bit scattered. We showed up before the main dinner crowd before 5pm and didn't leave until almost 7. Most of this was our party waiting for our server. Other areas were clearing faster than ours, so it was not the cook staff being slow
Menu is nice. I loved It had every picture of every dish. Decent price, delicious food and nice staff. Don't see why you will not stop by if you want Italian food.
Stopped in for dinner randomly looking for something upscale. Blown away from the moment I walked in the door. The host was waiting, smiling before I could even get through the door. The grand stair case with balcony view. Huge wine wall just straight up sensory overload in a good way. My waiter Alex let me know upfront he was training and to be patient with him, but then hit me with the history of the restaurant, the credentials of the chef and some prime appetizer and drink suggestions that all hit the mark. He got to be kidding me because he a pro. I got the filet and let me tell you, it's the one. If you follow my reviews I eat steak all over the country and some pricey ones I might add. This is the number one non waygu steak I've had this year in the U.S. I will be back. You should check them out. Compliments to the chef Ishmel. Simply delicious. Just set my 5 star bar higher sorry not sorry.
An ode to Caprese... What I loved: • The caprese was over the top good! The burrata cheese alone is a reason to visit Gratzi. There was a sweetness in the drizzled syrup that paired beautifully with the tomatoes and cheese. Simply put, you do not find plates of this caliber in Michigan. • The atmosphere was phenomenal. Beautiful restaurant. • The service was superb. Excellently done Eduardo. What I did not love: • Sadly, I did not love the entree. I went with the Pappardelle Bolognese. While the tomato based sauce was so unique—the touch of lemon really elevated it from a standard sauce—it was knocked down by the overwhelming amount of veal. The sauce to meat ratio was really off. The pappardelle noodle was perfectly done, the sauce flavor was great; it was simply the crushing amount of meat that negatively impacted the flavor and texture. • The bread. Someone got heavy handed with herbs. It sat untouched at my table. Other notables: • The meal started with a delightful little arancini, and ended with complimentary limocello. Both were nice touches toward an authentic Italian dining experience. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience. Had the entree not been a miss, it would have gotten 5 stars.
The manager Bill was awesome when for some reason my online reservation didn't go through. We arrived at the restaurant after an hour and a half drive to find they had no record of the reservation for our small office Christmas party. At first were were told by the hostess that they were completely booked but she got Bill to come and see what he could do. He did some rearranging and accommodated us in a very short amount of time. Way to go, Gratzi. The food was great and your customer service was even better.
My husband and I just had dinner at Gratzi for the first time. The wait staff were very attentive in making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Our food was amazing! I had pasta and my husband had salmon. We also shared the Brussels sprouts appetizer, which I highly recommend. A wonderful experience indeed! Thank you Gratzi. We'll definitely be back!
