A wonderful atmosphere, cozy, food is definitely something different than usual places in the area which is great. Friendly service and pretty quick to bring out food! Plenty of vegetarian options as well. I only wish that the menu was a bit more descriptive on some of the ingredients in some of the items. Not all have the full list of ingredients on them.
Amazing! Don't let the outside entrance to this place fool you. The inside is wonderful and homey! The folks are kind and welcoming! The food is amazing! Had ordered the mixed grill see photos. It came in the perfect portion for one person. The meat was well cooked and juicy. The veggies were char-grilled to perfection. The taste was wonderfully balanced and spiced to perfection. If I am in the area again, I am coming back for more!!
Delicious food and good service. It has a very small dining are- so be aware before you dine. They appeared to do quite a bit of take out service. We had the grape leaves, hummus, falafel amazing, Moroccan Chicken, and Kefta. All were very good. The vegetables are grilled to perfection and I could have just eaten them. I definitely recommend trying it. We also tried the mint lemonade which we enjoyed. We were sadly too full to try dessert, maybe next time.
If you are in Oak Park area. You should stop by at this restaurant and have a wonderful meal. I love how they have shared art style culture. The vibe at this restaurant is so relaxing and you could get your free of mind at this place.
Best traditional Moroccan in the west side, it's best eaten with your hands and a hot steaming flat bread. We had the Moroccan chicken tajine and Moroccan chicken the different is one has vegetables with a side of rice and bread. I highly recommend coming here to experience authentic Moroccan food. The owner is also one of the nicest people you'll meet.
Had a great experience here!! The waitress was so nice and helpful, all the food was so delicious and the restaurant is really pretty don’t mind the already eaten hummus haha!
This place has atmosphere, authenticity and tasty food. Food was tasty and flavorful. It was very original and combination of flavors was unique. They nailed Lamb, I finished large peace of it in 5 minutes and was looking in amazement at the bone and was realizing I want more even though I was full. In general it was very satisfying experience.
So so so good!!!! And pretty affordable too. We ordered the cigars, chicken kebab, and the hummus. I will def be going again. Go here now!!!
My bf is Moroccan and was craving some Moroccan food while we were in the area so we decided to try this place. Bad idea. The food is not traditional Moroccan food. The chicken tagine was so sweet, overpriced, and odd tasting. It was a tiny chicken breast, leg, and thigh swimming in a pool of only sweet sauce. Served with only rice, instead of bread. At least it was edible, unlike the lamb tagine that we ordered next. The lamb was unbearably strong and "smelly". I wouldn't be surprised if it was goat as many places use goat instead of lamb because it's cheaper and lamb brings a higher price tag at the table. At least it came in a tagine but was again such a small serving for an over $20 dish, mostly tomato sauce with a small amount of meat and vegetables. We couldnt eat it cuz it was so bad. Once again it was served with rice which is NOT traditional. We had to purchase bread which is what both dishes should have originally came with. The rice also tastes like packaged rice, the pre-made, microwave heated kind. The mint tea was so weak in tea flavor, tho I did appreciate that that there was plenty of fresh mint in the berrad and in the cups. We looked inside to see that they used tea bags. Traditional Moroccan tea should be made with gunpowder tea. Also our waitress disappeared after she brought the chicken out. So when we wanted to try something else we had to go search for her. Frustrating because we had asked her before ordering if the chicken tagine was enough for 2 ppl since we thought it was going to be a full tagine and gauging by the price, and she said yes. No. Each "tagine" is only for one person. I can see why the place was completely empty when we came.
This place is great! The food is delicious and fresh. The staff is very friendly as well. My wife and I really enjoyed our meal and the time we spent here. I would highly recommend!!
