Great Campground site. They accommodate campers, trailers and if you want to do just tents. There is a laundry mat on site and restrooms equipped with multiple hot/cold showers. You can buy the basic essentials in the mini store. There is this awesome playground near the front office. The location is close to a school and within walking distance of a playing field where you can probably take a dog to play catch or kids to practice soccer or base ball etc. There is the standard fire place and firewood sold on site. The camper areas has different power outlet and there is fee wifi but limited to the office area. Overall, I'd recommend for one of your short stops on you long trips or just a few days with kids.
The park was easy to find. It is located in the city adjacent to The Gordon Howe Sports Complex. There is pavement all the way including parameter roads. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. Our site, 103, was a back in that was just long enough for our Coach. Our towed parked beside it. Services 30 amp and water only were to the left side. Distancing is very reasonable for an urban park. Most sites had a vegetation barrier. Each site has a table and most have a grill on a stand. No fire pit. Our site was flat but a little “lumpy”. Overall the park was pretty and well manicured. The included wifi internet worked very well most of the time with NO log in password required. We did find a few OTA TV. Satellite might be difficult because of the trees if you don’t have a portable dish. We did not use the washrooms or pay showers but we checked and found them clean. There is a large green area near the office that people use to exercise their dogs. Ice, firewood and small items for sale in the office. There is no shopping, fast food or restaurants within easy walking distance but all can be found a short drive away. We found this park to be a well run urban RV park. We paid $42.50 per night and we feel we received very good value. We will be back if in the area again. Be advised, this is a very popular park. Booking is suggested.
Nice little campground tucked away close to the centre is Saskatoon named after hockey great Gordie Howe. Well groomed sites and clean washroom facilities. Nice little playground for the kids and secure overnight so you feel safe. Down the street from a large sports complex and adjacent to a neighbourhood. Not much around for food although there is a gas station with a convenience store and take out pizza place although if your camping assuming you have your own food anyways.
It is my summer home and I love it! Clean, safe and well maintained. I will be back next summer.
Loved this place, clean and pleasant, lists of privacy! Easy access to a bike trail that runs along the river into downtown.
Nice enough grounds here but one sani dump at the front of the property so if your camping here for a bit you need to break your trailer down and drag it back and forth to dump. As well the office staff could be a touch more reasonable. We booked a week in advance and stayed the full week, then three days before our departure my wife booked a single day more. We had plans change and hoped to cancel the last day but couldn’t because we couldn’t give seven days notice. We didn’t book with seven days notice??? Understand the policy but let’s have a bit more common sense on being able to manage different situations. That’s what managers should be able to do.
Such an incredible facility for football. Well thought out, planned and designed. It's a real jewel and privilege to be on that field. Kudos to the people who work here as well. They are kind, helpful and just the perfect addition to the facility. Well done!
Yep, loved it! Mid-city campground, family friendly, also has it's quiet sections. The grounds are lined with huge elms, security through the night, great staff. Perfect for most, even us infrequent campers!
Really wanted to give a 5 star review! But couldn't rest well last time staying there. There were a group of people yelling laughing and swearing since I got there around 10 pm and all the way past 11pm. One guy later got into an argument with somebody and started yelling very loudy and eventually the police came. When we woke up at 4 am they were still talking. Did not feel safe. Though I don't think it is the campground's fault. It is a very well maintained campground. The staff who answered my phone call is really nice and the security is really nice too! Bathrooms are very clean showers are very good, water is nice and hot. lots of green space.
Our family just there for one night, but we loved how soft and flat the ground was for tenting. The bathrooms were great and well kept. Close to tent sites and nicely treed.
