What can three surly teens and two stressed parents do on a hot humid Saturday afternoon? If you have finished reading the internet and have watched your last YouTube video, perhaps it is time to try go karting! This is not the smelly, noisy two stroke engines of regional rodeos from the 1990's. E-Karting at Goplex is clean, spacious, quiet, and fully indoors. Air conditioning and hand sanitisers welcomed us as we stomped indoors from a spacious carpark. A panel of bilingual young adults helped me register family members, and find appropriately sized hemlets, which was a relief. We purchased balaclavas for sanitation and safety. Four family members have massive pumpkin heads and often we are diaappointed by ruptures in stock but Goplex helmets were in good condition and had at least 4 XL casques. After a short instruction from a staff member, we were off whizzing around the track. This was quiet and clean as the engines run on electricity. Everyone had fun and it was over too soon. My eldest even broke her scowl for 15 minutes! Thank you for giving us a fun, safe Saturday. We will be back.
It’s been years since the last time I went go-karting…. Times have changed, that’s for sure! First off, the electronic karts are a game changer. You have different tiers, which will result in how fast your kart is programmed to go. Don’t worry, they go fast. Bonus: They have a boost button too. What a rush! You don’t have to worry about reeking of gasoline which is also nice. You’re given stats after the race, which includes your time, speed and number of laps. You can see your groups stats as well. Overall, this was a great experience and totally recommended. Can’t wait to go back!
Nice experience even if the karts weren't set to top speed, they accelerate much faster than normal had-powered karts. Nice formula on the triple race, great stats but wouldn't give it 5* for the price and how they handled our huge group of 60+ ppl. They should have set a max closer to 30 ppl cause 1/2 the group had to wait for the other since they did 2 Sun tournaments one big one. It would have been nice to have everyone participate and spreading the wait time over the entire group.
Wowowow! I loved the place the staff is great. The most important its the track and kart quality, they are just right. Its so much fun I would recommend any day for adults and kids.
Bring your own Balaklava! Had my first gokart experience here, two races for about 66$ after taxes. I had quite a bit of fun, going with people you know adds to the experience but I could see how this can be fun even on your own. They have multiple modes on their cars for different experience levels. I recommend this for anyone fan of driving or even wanting to get more comfortable with driving. The experience is very similar but the rules are different. When your in the car you feel like you're going fast but as you'll see on the video, it's looks slow haha.
Totally recommended experience. Full adrenaline while driving the race cars, I have not done it in so many years that I forgot the real feel instead of just playing it in videogames, they give you stats after the race, and you see your time, speed and number of laps, on the side you also have the simulation room to play golf, friendly staff. They should add a little bit more of time because it goes so fast when you have a good time.
One of 2 ekarts i know of in montreal area. Brought my cousin here since it was F1 weekend. Facilty was clean and spacious. The host was great at explaining the pricing and options, got us signed up and ready to race withing minutes. The track attendant was just as awesome! Gave us a little guidance and got us going. Once you veat 27 seconds in 1 lap you can unlock a faster mode for following races! Fun track! Thinking of getting the 10 race package now!
Goplex offers a clean and efficient racing experience. It gets busy, so book ahead! The common areas are clean and modern, the racetrack itself is well laid out with new sprung barriers & crash guards. The fleet of electric go karts is what really makes this place shine. They are beautiful machines, very fast and capable. The boost button is fun to use and adds a bit of additional strategy. It's not cheap but I didn't feel ripped off, the experience is worth it in my opinion. Overall highly recommended!
Fantastic experience! The electric go-carts were a blast to drive! The golf simulators are really fun as well. Great place to spend some time with family and friends. Would definitely return.
Best karting experience by far in all of Montreal….and I have tried them all! The golf simulators are also top notch. I was very impressed by how attentive and engaged the staff were. Well done!
