Spacious store with a large selection of goods. Most of the items were in very good condition and for a reasonable price. My friend and I were able to find several things in our size and style. They are a good assortment of homewares and decor as well. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to browse and is looking to save some money while helping the environment.nnWe have also donated to them and the staff were very nice and receptive. They do take reusable grocery bags so please donate them if you have extras!
I went to this goodwill around 7:40pm on Monday August 25th when myself and my friend were verbally harassed by an older male customer. I tried on a boot, and when I expressed to my friend the shoe was “too big” the other customer came behind us and said “that’s not something you hear too often from girls”. He then snickered as he walked away. We asked him to repeat himself, when he laughed, walked away and said “nothing, nothing…” of course this encounter made myself and my friend very uncomfortable. We came forward to the front desk to report to staff what happened. The three ladies at the front desk were so kind and made both of us feel much more comfortable given what had just happened. They called for a manager, and as we continued around the store noticed that the man had not been spoken to. Eventually one of the ladies from the desk came out with the store manager. He asked what happened in a very unconcerned way, and even implied that myself and my friend leave rather than the man be spoken to. After that, we both felt unsafe and unwelcomed, and understood no precaution would be taken to secure our safety going forward. We cashed out and just before leaving we were once more approached by one of the ladies from the front desk, aswell as the same store manager. Once again, the woman made sure we felt safe before leaving and asked if we would like a walk back to our car. I assured her we were going next door and that we would be safe there. The manager asked “are you okay” to which I responded no and explained how I would have preferred him to have handled the situation. He grew defensive and claimed he had told us he was planning to take action after we had left. I told him he did not say that, and my friend confirmed he did in fact not say or imply anything of the sort. As a manager I expect a level of professionalism and courtesy, especially given how hard it is to be taken seriously when reporting this kind of harassment. It felt as if the manager had chosen to ignore our safety and the situation, and rather gave the excuse that the man “may get aggressive”. While I understand where he was coming from, he could have taken the appropriate approach of telling us he would keep an eye on either the man or us to make sure there were no further encounters. Thank you so much to the wonderful women at the front, you did everything you could and it really shows. I know myself and any other shopper appreciate having such kind people who are willing to help. As for the store manager I hope you can recognize your lack of empathy and and professionalism and do better for the future. As for myself I will not be returning to this location. Even if the same costumer never comes back, I do not feel comfortable knowing that my or the safety or others will not be not be considered in this store.
my favourite thrift store and i’ve been to many around the gta. service is great i’ve always found good stuff look at this mink coat i scored for 25 dollars. the blond older lady is soooooo sweet. only critique is that the store can be organized by size rather than colour/item. also they could have a better purse and accessory section
Disappointed by Pricing PracticesnI was really disappointed after a recent visit. I bought a small bead set priced at $2.99, only to get home and discover a Dollarama price tag underneath originally $2.00. I understand the price difference is small, but it’s the principle. Covering a lower price with a higher one feels dishonest and goes against what I thought Goodwill stood for. I hope this was a one-off mistake, but it’s made me think twice about shopping here again
Their treatment is bad. I bought one I bought one vacuum. From that store When I try to return it back or change. It With other things they said we are not able to return it or change. Or anything So The treatment is bad. Even though I give them free that vacuum. They don't have any problem. They Took it easily.
