The food menu is good, but this place is definitely all about the desserts! There are so many cakes that you'll have a hard time choosing just one. The slices are enormous. The inside is kitschy and cozy. It's a staple of the neighbourhood and definitely worth stopping by.

My husband and I live in Alberta and we were planning a large 80th Birthday Party for my Mom this past Sunday, March 11, 2018. We knew we wanted a fresh baked carrot cake, but because we don't live in Winnipeg, we weren't sure where to start. We called your bake shop and spoke with Erika who was extremely helpful. When I asked if it was possible to have the cake decorations and writing in specific colours to match the party decor, she suggested I could send an email with a picture and the specifics. I did this, and received a prompt reply that the information was added to the order. Upon arriving in Winnipeg we decided to drop in to make the final payment and confirm our order. We were lucky enough to speak to Erika in person. We were a little stressed about the timing, as we were going to pick up the cake Sunday morning and go directly to the hall where we would have only 1 hour to set up for the birthday party. Erika put our minds at ease, and explained we could park at the back door, call her to say we were there, and the cake would be brought out the back door to the vehicle. Everything went like clockwork on Sunday morning, which was a huge relief. The cake was amazing!! It was so moist, tasted absolutely fabulous, and the decorating was perfect. Please pass on a special thanks to Erika, the bakers, the decorators, and everyone else who was involved in making this wonderful cake for my Mom's 80th birthday. We all loved it, and I expect you will have many new customers as a result. I know that my husband and I will definitely be returning whenever we are in Winnipeg.

My family bought a cake for my dad's birthday and we feel like we wasted a lot of our money. The cake was so dry, terrible texture, tasted like flavourless cardboard. We love the cheesecakes and other desserts here, but we spent a lot of money on this cake we were very disappointed. Do not recommend their cakes.

A cute bakery filled with a variety of beautiful assortments. Fast and friendly service. I got the > and so its more surprising that I wouldn’t recommend it. The cake tasted dry and flavorless (more like sugar), the cream on the outside tasted odd (like a bit old) but the cream cheese filling tasted as it should. I wouldn’t recommend this cake solely for the quality you get from the price you paid for. It wasn’t worth it and the response in the party was mediocre (just ok). I’ve read other reviews and with this cake especially or all their other mini cakes, it’s either a hit-or-miss; but with the amount you paid for, it shouldn’t be debatable (there are other bakeries for cakes, now I know). I won’t come again for the cakes, so I’ll probably buy the smaller sweets, avoiding the big ones.
