Golden Wheel Restaurant

Had a good meal here. The meat dishes were a little light on the meat, but tasted decent. I didn't get an MSG headache afterward which was nice. Egg Foo Young with Mushrooms and the BBQ Pork noodles were my favourites.

Ordered a dinner for 10 plus added on a couple dishes. Asked them to double check that everything was included, got the dishes at work at was shorted 2 dishes. Fried rice was a poor excuse of plain rice with soy sauce tossed on top, beef chop suey had 7 pieces of meat in the entire dish. Shanghai noodles were cold and dry. The dry ribs were tasty and the rest of the food was OK. All this after being 15 minutes late as well. Not impressed after ordering such a huge order there was not even near enough food to feed 10 people and all this for 145 dollars AFTER A 10% DISCOUNT. Very very disappointed.

Had a fairly large order for delivery. The lady taking the order was great! The food came 20 mins late, after the taxi driver called asking if there were any "landmarks" near our house?? We live in ponoka, in a house with a number on it, on a marked street... pretty self explanatory. Once we started opening the food, we started feeling like we're being pranked. We have to guess if it was fried rice or plain rice with a few peas in it. If it was the dry ribs or the ginger beef. If it was lemon chicken or chicken fries. If it was deep fried Ichiban noodles with broccoli or chow mein. The spring rolls look like spring rolls and were pretty good but the egg rolls were just batter. Mushroom egg foo young with really good. But then the kicker, the chicken balls, or shall I say the chicken nuggets! So then I phone the restaurant, "are your chicken balls always chicken nuggets?" The nice lady who took my order said "no". I'm going to let you talk to Peter the cook who is also the owner. So Peter gets on the phone and I asked him the same question. He states that he ran out of chicken balls so he gave me chicken nuggets, like it shouldn't be a problem? So I said if you run out of something you don't just substitute something else you need to phone and offer a substitution or don't charge me for it. And he says, well what do you want me to do? And I said give me chicken balls when I order chicken balls. And he says well next time you come in I will give you two orders of chicken balls for no charge and an order of Ginger Beef (because I was short an order of Ginger Beef as well). Yeah but I've already paid for it so it's not free, I just want my money back. So I got my money back for those three items. But what a hassle and honestly was the worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life.
