Highly recommend this place for a haircut! Clean, relaxed atmosphere with knowledgeable staff and friendly regular clients. Abe has cut my hair for the past few years and always delivers great results.
I have gone to Golden Scissors many times and Abe has cut, coloured. Highlighted, and styled my hair. I have NEVER left unhappy in any way. Today I had the pleasure of meeting Chris who performed all of the above services in excellent fashion. Both men are personable and interesting to talk to. I was served an expresso and water -which is a nice touch. I left today, like always, feeling like I had been pampered for a few hours. I would HIGhLY recommend this salon.Services: Bang trim
They can cut hair, but listening isn't their specialty. I asked for a small trim, my hair before was about 12-13 cm long, afterwards it was about 5 cm. I had shown a picture and described what I had wanted, yet even when I told them to stop cutting they kept going, claiming that they knew what they were doing. If you want medium to long haircuts as a male make sureto be extremely clear about that.
I come to this salon for many years and I have always been happy. However, the last visit didn’t end up very well : I always have my bookings with Abe and he is AMAZING! He is truly an artist when it comes to hair. That is why I booked my hair styling session with him as I was going for an important event afterwards. But unfortunately, as I got to the salon, I was forced to have another stylist who I never worked with before do my hair. I was not even asked if it was okay with me. She did not use the curler that I suggested and convinced me that the style I chose and had done on me before small curls was old fashion and something else would look better. At the end of the session, I would say the end product was not bad, but it was very mediocre. Something I could have done at home with my own Dyson hairstyling kit. The main disappointment for me was that the hairstyle did not last until my photoshoot and I had to redo it. I am very very sad about this whole experience. I would have given a rating of 3 to my session today. However, since I have been coming here for many years and I would have given it 5/5 at any other time, I gave today’s session a 4.Services: Hairstyling
I have been going to Abe for the last 27 years. At Kingsway and now at his lessard shop. There is a reason why I have kept going, he is a true master of the art of hairstyling. In my humble opinion he is The Best in the city! I recommend this place to anyone and you will never be disappointed!

Abe was the best! He was able to book me in for the same day within a couple of hours notice. He was a great person to talk to and his cuts are very clean. If I could rate 10/5 stars I would Abe was even kind enough to give me a free clean up in my first visit. Found my new barber and I am very happy. Will be back for lots of business
Spent $170 and got home to orange hair. ORANGE!!! I said so to the stylist while I was in the salon and she convinced me it was just the lights. Not true! It was orange in my lights at home and now, the next morning, I get to go to a meeting looking like a clown. How is it possible to spend $170 at a professional salon and get orange hair? How is it possible that they charge that much and don't know your hair needs to be toned when they colour it? What am I paying them for? I will never, ever be back. I don't even trust you to fix it. You should be ashamed of yourselves. If you want clown hair you know where to go.Service: Hair coloring
