I have been coming to The Golden Lion for many, many years. The food is excellent! My favorite is the Almond Chicken- although I like everything I've ever ordered! The lady who takes orders up front is very nice! Great food! Great service! Parking: Parking is good, and right out in front of the restaurant.
Horrible food, no flavor, egg fu yung was hard like hockey pucks. Fried rice was not fried, seemed like it had frozen peas and carrots in it and no seasoning. Egg rolls appeared to have been frozen and were a pasty mess. White rice was so over cooked it was like paste on the bottom of the carton. We are new to the area and took a chance. I wish I could give zero stars!!!!
Worst Chinese food We've ever had..we never go out to eat because of the cost..decided to try them..NEVER AGAIN..ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.. no one was in there should have known better..everything tasted bland..! Don't waste your money!@
Never been there and never will go back over $50 worth of food that we basically threw out had horrible flavor and the shrimp was so overcooked it was like eating a rock
Yesterday evening I picked up BBQ pork fried rice and vegetable chow mein to go. I hadn't been there in years, but decided to try it again now that I live closer. The fried rice was just unflavored and unseasoned white rice with bits of BBQ meat throughout; there wasn't anything else added that you would typically find in fried rice like scrambled egg, etc. As I was eating the chow mein, there was a black hair in my food! It wasn't mine because I have gray hair! Some of the vegetables in it tasted canned, e.g., baby corn, bean sprouts, mushrooms. I was so very disappointed and will not order food from them ever again. I am going to learn how to make those dishes instead - the right way!! When I made a courtesy call to the restaurant this morning to let them know of the problems, the woman asked if I still had the food; I said yes. I kept it in case they wanted to see what was given to me. She asked if I would like to get a replacement; I said no, but I appreciate the gesture. The food is now in the garbage.
I haven't been here since I was a teenager and my mom also gave me a coupon for here and she knew how busy I am today so she called ahead knew what I wanted and by the time I got here my food was ready to go. I can say I am glad I got lunch here. Thank you Golden Lion!
NASTY FOOD! Even I can microwave food better than the food they served! This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. You could easily tell and taste that the food was canned and microwaved. Our plates were hot when they brought us the food so it was definitely microwaved. The food tasted old. The rice was stale and NOT fried. We stopped eating it and we rarely do that. It was just gross and sad. We will never be returning. Golden Lion, learn how to prepare and serve fresh Chinese food or you won’t last for much longer. Customers are not satisfied! No thank you, next!
We LOVE Golden Lion! We've been going there for over ten years now. It's our favorite restaurant in Kitsap County. The food-especially the seafood-is fresh, and never overdone. The veggies are crisp, and the noodles are savory. Try their take-out. It's quick, and delicious. And the service is so great. Everyone is so welcoming. It's like coming into a clean, well lit dining room at home. Can't say enough good about Golden Lion. In fact, I think I'll stop by tonight after work...
I love their Almond Chicken, however, last night was two times in a row that there were no almonds in my take out order. I even had my husband ask that they double check to be sure the cook added the almonds. As much as I like their food, I will not be back.
This has been mine and my kids favorite place to eat for years! Recommend to everyone! The staff are friendly and service is fast and good is always delicious.
