Very disappointed given the good reviews ratio to the bad ones. Really wish to have taken the bad reviews to heart. Ordered take out so didn’t really checked at the restaurant, after a 20 mins drive to Round Lake...we soon discovered how true the bad reviews were. Sad to say it was the worst Chinese food we’ve ever tried except for their shrimp fried rice thank goodness they didn’t mess that up!. Our biggest complaint was their Crispy Beef; just like 1 bad review stated frozen burns and dried like from the last century ours was far worst to the point it was not edible, even our dog chock on some piece. If there’s nothing else and your press for time, you are better of getting food from a Fry Truck or can foods from a corner store.

Stopped here recently to fulfill a craving. Didn't realize it is still take out only. But they let us order in person. At least the weather was nice enough that we could eat in the public rest area across the highway. Ordered a dinner plate...chicken fried rice, chicken balls, chow mein and pork riblets...it was good. Parking: Quite a few parking spots. Currently can't dine in so the parking lot is never full.
Didn't realize the restaurant is take out only at this time. We ordered dinner for 3, wait time 15 minutes, and friendly service. Brought the food home. Overall food is good, just seemed to lack a little flavour. Curious to try a spicy dish to see what they are like.
Great spot to grab some dinner. Yummy black bean chicken. Delicious fired rice. Friendly staff. Carry out only presently, but there was a park with picnic tables just down the road that made for a great dinner stop. Vegetarian options: Plenty of options on the menu Parking: Parking available out front.
I ordered a vegetable chow mein and instead got a container of bean sprouts with no noodles. I obviously tried to return it, but they told me chow mein is just bean sprouts, I got what I ordered and I shouldn’t have expected noodles. Chow mein literally translates to stir-fried noodles. It was like they’d rather gaslight me than admit they made a mistake, I felt like I was taking crazy pills, she was seriously like «of course there’s no noodles in chow mein, why would you expect that?». This is not a 1 star rating bc they did on the other hand refund the disgusting deep-fried tofu I ordered and my bf enjoyed his crispy beef.
Very bad experience and strongly not recommended! I ordered curry chicken, but there is no curry and no chicken for the first time. So we have to go back and get a second one, but there is still no curry at all. Very few slices of chicken with other stuff nobody would eat at all
Wonderful service, even after they had closed the restaurant. I was so fortunate they stayed open for my takeout order, otherwise there was nothing to eat in the vicinity. And the food was spectacular!
Took out from here, Does not server Breakfast The food was good, was really light on the stomach, is also a LLBO with a good collection of spirits.
Came to visit Golden Lake looking for any nearby lunch spots. Don’t hesitate, just order!! Amazing service with extremely sweet owner! Cant say enough good about this place :
