We ordered five different items from here tonight and it was very average Chinese food. We didn't love it but it was edible. We ordered curried shrimp with vegetables but we received curry chicken instead. It was heavily seasoned with yellow curry powder. The beef and broccoli and mushroom fried rice were bland. The shrimp chow mein was decent. There was no dine-in option, which I find strange given a huge dining room. The service was quick and friendly. It is not my first choice for Chinese food in Brockville but given that on Tuesdays both other Chinese restaurants are closed, this one will have to do!
The owners at Golden Gate are literally the best humans in the world! We've ordered take out a few times, however; I've missed them during the pandemic. We walked in and they immediately remembered us, then cooed over how big the kids had gotten. So amazing, so polite. Hope we can visit with them again soon! You're LITERALLY family when you go in.
The staff was really nice but the food was extremely basic. I think a lot of it was sitting around for a while and there were almost no healthy options. Also, very little vegetarian choices. If you want deep fried options, there are a lot. Again, the staff were really nice!

It’s ok place for Chinese food… Please make sure the meat is as fresh as possible. One of the pieces seem old or refrigerated too long. Please ensure you ask customers for cutlery for every take out order. Still ok especially since they close at 10pm.
They only have buffet friday nights. We arrived as it was closing. We ate what was there and we were told they would make us fresh anything we wanted. We made do with what was there and left full.Food: 4/5

Always enjoy my food from Golden Gate. Staff is always super friendly with me, I don’t know why some of you are experiencing poor service. Best chicken fried rice and general Taos chicken I have probably ever had. Thank you all so much!
I have eaten at a lot of authentic chinese food restaurants . Food was delicious here on time friendly and polite food is 100 percent authentic chinese food I have to say shi ni To the cook's and all the staff 5 golden stars for the Golden gate restaurant
