Golden Crust Bakery

Last week, I bought their Cherry cake for Christmas, as I do every year. This year, the cake was short on cherries!!! I cut the cake in half to freeze it, and saw 2 cherries visible in the halves. I then cut one half in slices, and counted 7 cherries for a half of a cake!!! In past years, their cakes are full of cherries, thus the reason I have bought them every year. I did notice their light fruit cakes were loaded with cherries and mixed fruit as the fruit was quite visible!! Did someone change the recipe, because I think the fruit cakes got the cherries intended for the cherry cakes! I even went back to Pipers to see if this week's order of cakes was the same, and it was!!nNo cherries visible at all!!nI would not buy another one!!nI am very disappointed that Golden Crust have decreased the amount of cherries they are putting in their cherry cakes. Not worth the money.

We purchased their Boiled Raisin Cake at Costco. It was one of the best cakes we have eaten. We will certainly buy others and try some other of their baked goods.

I have purchased the raisin tea biscuits multiple times only to throw out as they were doughy inside. If you are going to reduce the amount in pkg and up the price then at least make sure quality control is up to standard

Bought their raisin cake from Costco. Absolutely DELICIOUS. Can’t wait to try some more things from there. So nice to see a business out of Harbour Grace.

purchased apricot squares made by this bakery at a local dept store. .nthey were a gloopy undercooked inedible mess that had to be thrown in the garbage
