The hostess was pleasant. The space is limited but it’s to be expected since the location isn’t really big. Which limits the menu options compared to the one in jersey but none the less the food was good I really enjoyed the fried shrimp and candid yams. I can’t forget about those delicious famous rolls and red velvet cake that was yummy. Overall it’s worth the experience if you’ve never been to a Golden Corral.
This was my first time eating at Golden Corral. It's not what I've seen other restaurants of the same name look like. I'm aware the space is limited. The food was really good. The servers were not united. I had to direct my server more then once to clean it our table. He had somewhat of an attitude, so I made sure he did his job even more. Since he never came back to see if we need anything he blew his tip. I left stuffed and I was stuffed throughout the night. Vegetarian options: There was a salad bar separate from all the other food. Kid-friendliness: Plenty of there favorite foods. Parking: Great Wheelchair accessibility: The isles are pretty narrow. Dietary restrictions: Hang out up if your gluten free.
First time here and it was fun and tasty. The food is very well prepared and kept warm and fresh, with a just cooked flavor that'll satisfy everyone. Atmosphere is jubilant, delightful, and interestingly engaging when reaching out for conversation with others. Don't let it being in the Bronx fool you, it's a very good establishment. I recommend going, enjoying, and bringing friends.
Lovely place. I was totally pleased with the way the establishment looked and operated. I'm used to GC only being in the south, but this one would make them all proud. The food is tasteful. It's really a buffet with a variety of choices to choose from; vegetables, meats, salads, main and side dishes, and a plethora of desserts. They use the same rules when going for food and use a new plate each time. Free refills on fountain drinks. This place has a bit more- they have alcoholic beverages. The decor is beautiful inside and out. And surprisingly the crowd isn't rowdy- Thank GOD. Everyone coming in is pleasant and behaves. This GC is sure to be one of your favorites. It's about $20 per person, which is well worth it. Kid-friendliness: Kids will love this place because there's so many options. They're bound to like something, including vegetables and especially the desserts. Parking: Free Parking lot right in front and if that's full you can park in the lot on other side V.I.M.
This was my very first time visiting the first Golden Corral in NYC, and I must say, it is simply AMAZING!!!! The staff was kind and polite, service was awesome and importantly, the food was exquisite! I am DEFINITELY returning again soon. It was about 5 years in waiting, but in the end, it was all worth it.
I'm glad that Golden Corral is much closer to NYC but I feel the ball has been dropped. I've been to this location a few times which took forever and a day to finally open then COVID hit delaying everything even longer. My main issue is the temperature of the food when making a plate, I feel it should be VERY warm or even hot so that the customer can decide how they want to eat the food. The signs/titles of the food should be in front of the tray or dish as well for those that don't realize to look up then everyone will know what they are consuming. Certain food could be seasoned much better so it can actually be enjoyed, otherwise what's the purpose of going out to eat. But a positive is the addition of happy hour where adults are able to purchase drinks, just wish you could actually enjoy the "alcohol" being used/included. Overall, it's alright but there are definitely improvements to be made.
I was so excited to find a Golden Corral in NY that I failed to take pics of the food It was great though! The staff were efficient. It was clean. The food was great! The steak was well seasoned. The fudge brownies were great. Great variety of food and desserts.
Been to the Golden Corral in NJ. Pleasantly surprised when I finally decided to try the one in the Bronx. Can get busy, but the food was great. Our waitress was awesome and kept the drinks coming when asked. They have a wide variety of food too from 3 types of fried chicken, to mashed potatoes and carving stations. Dessert looks great too. Will be back to try things I missed and will bring the crew with me. Just wish there was one in Brooklyn.
So a Golden Corral has finally arrived in NEW YORK!...yippee ...all you can eat for the 'foodies'...price is very reasonable, because you can get , salads, soups, main course, desserts, go to grill and get your steak....kids can have any amount of iceee,...yum yum..I loved their spinach/chicken pasta & grill barbecue chicken and the bread delicious...sea food is also available . Only draw back was space was a bit limited for a party of 8, we had to be getting up every time someone needed to head back to the buffet, so management need to address that issue....nice place to hang out and EAT! EAT! EAT ! DRINKSsodas any amount you want..but please remember you can't carry anything out unless you pay for take- out
Incredibly pleasantly surprised! The last two Golden Corrals I've been too have been very disappointing, but this one gave me new faith in the restaurant chain! The food was fresh and delicious and the services was quick and awesome! Great selection and atmosphere. We went around Christmas time and it was so nice seeing all the decorations. There is also parking on site which was a major plus for the location.
