Story

We have hundreds of thousands of square feet in retail space and carry everything from trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, garden supplies, patio furniture, giftware and everything in between.

From October to December, we boast Calgary's largest Christmas showroom.

Open year round with everything necessary to plant, landscape, decorate, winterize, fertilize and mulch.

Our garden experts are some of the most knowledgeable in the city, and are ready to assist you.

I really like Golden Acre, and I'll continue to shop here as long as I live in Calgary. The selection is amazing, staff is incredibly helpful, and the whole place is set up and maintained really well. Plant stock is very healthy and everything I have bought from them is absolutely thriving! I can't wait to go back, and maybe next time I'll even bring my dog.
My by far favorite garden centre. Conveniently located and easy to get to. Always has many great indoor plants - also many options for people wanting to build live terrariums. In the spring and summer, expect many great plants and flowers for your yard.
On May 29, 2022 at 3:35 pm, the sales rep #1069, till 01-03, was taking out the plants from the store’s tray that I used to scan the price but was putting them back roughly. I saw the plant broke and told her to be careful. She totally ignored me and kept on going. When she was done scanning she picked the broken part, looked at it and dropped it. She never apologized and never smiled. She looked miserable. I bought 4 pots of sundrops and other items which cost me $137.22. The first photo is the size of the plants that I bought and the second photo is the damaged one. Also, should she not scan one pot of the same kind four times instead of scanning each pot? I really like your store ang go there yearly but I hope you hire people who are passionate and respectful.
I wanted to purchase some plants specifically for a sunny location in my home. The gardener who assisted me was very helpful and pleasant. She provided me with recommendations based on my needs as well as care tips for each. The cashiers were also accommodating and pleasant. The store had a great selection of Christmas ornaments and indoor plants. Prices were reasonable and plants all.looked healthy.
Large store but I went in September and they had half their store empty. Very well organized and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. My son and I went here for a special outing and had a great time looking at all the plants and flowers.
A great place to find anything yard / garden related. Knowledgeable friendly staff and comparable prices to other outlets in the area.
I recently visited this home and garden center, and I have to say, I was really impressed with the level of service I received. The staff members were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they went out of their way to help me find everything I needed. In addition to the great customer service, I also found that the store had a really wide selection of products, from gardening tools to outdoor furniture.
Love this plant store beautiful plants great staff so many versions of different plants will definitely be going back.
Huge store. Excellent selection of plants and associated items. My wife views going there like a little vacation and I'm happy to tag along. Always a good day when we go to Golden Acre. Miss the coffee though.
