We have hundreds of thousands of square feet in retail space and carry everything from trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, garden supplies, patio furniture, giftware and everything in between.

From October to December, we boast Calgary's largest Christmas showroom.

Open year round with everything necessary to plant, landscape, decorate, winterize, fertilize and mulch.

Our garden experts are some of the most knowledgeable in the city, and are ready to assist you.

You are greeted by a HUGE parking lot, and then an abundance of variety. I had been searching for specific herbs in the sweltering parking lot competitor's. Here I could comfortably look through the labelled pots in comfortable surroundings and find what I needed.nnThere are copious amounts of flowers, knick knacks, gidgets and gadgets. I got a jade plant that was put outside for the summer and the magpies pecked, but it is thriving still. The plants from Golden acres were hale and hearty. The herbs grew wonderfully and the plants did great even in the hail storms.nnOverall the prices here are definitely more than the grocery store greenhouse, but we chose things on sale and there are definitely bargains to be found. One of our party scored a nice senior's discount.
A lovely spot, tucked in a former industrial area just off the Deer Foot at McKnight and Edmonton trail. This is an oasis of calm, and a fabulous visit in winter/early spring when balmy air and green plants are in short supply in Calgary. Lots of indoor and outdoor plants are available. Lovely garden ideas, decorative items, and an incredible selection of planting containers from tree size to something for your windowsill.nPets are welcome if well controlled and leashed.
Great customer service! The classic kind the way it should be! I purchased a fountain from Golden acres a few years ago. I needed a few replacement parts, Brian came through and even took the opportunity to train other staff members! Will shop here again.
My wife and I have been coming here for maybe 40 years. Consistent high-quality service and products ….they are not inexpensive. However the Service and quality, everything from Christmas trees to tropical plants is really very good. The staff are consistently friendly they managed to hire young people that know what they’re doing and older staff who supervise well. I’m glad that you have been able to have this in our community for so long.
Shout out to the staff for being so very helpful! I had a shaded area in my garden I wanted a coniferous shrub and was having a very difficult time finding the right fit. The staff recommendation was ideal. Not only that, he gave valuable information for further water retention in the garden during our city’s water crisis. I appreciate the knowledge from everyone and will return! The prices may be higher here for some similar shrubs found elsewhere, but given the huge variety and educated staff - I feel they offer great value.
