Restaurant is easy to locate. Good food,hot and fresh. I was just kind of surprised to see and extra $3 charge for the salad when it actually says on the menu it comes with it. Clean and decent place to eat.
I had dinner at the Gold Panner Restaurant earlier this evening, a lovely experience after a long drive south from Dawson City. The young man who waited on us was simply wonderful .... attentive, competent, kind, and sweet. And the food was delicious and plentiful I ordered chicken souvlaki and a sublime cheesecake drizzled with ambrosia. I never imagined I would find such a fine restaurant in the Yukon, with the magnificent river itself close by.
Sandwich was ok but waitress tried to charge us extra for the salad when the menu stated it came with a side salad or fries. It was pointed out but she argued..skip this place.
Not bad for a rural restaurant in the north. I had a pretty good Greek salad here with homemade dressing. I was pleasantly surprised by it.Recommended dishesGreek Salad
The ambiance was a bit dated but we were pleasantly surprised to see chicken souvlaki on the menu, and it was delicious. Highly recommend this dish if you want something other than a burger or fish & chips.
High recommended restaurant in Carmacks. It is a family oriented. The food in general was fantastic and the service was very friendly. Be patient with the staff, it is a small restaurant that have a lot to offer. In the same location, you find close by a grocery store, gas station, hotel, hard ware store, hunting and fishing gears and souvenirs..... It is the main service area in town. Thank you kindly Gold Panner Restaurant!!!! You made our stay unique and memorable.
We were just passing by this resturant then stopped to eat dinner. excellent service and food and the young man who waited on us were amazing, and he provided very good service. and another girl was good too. Very good staff and food
Why are there employees wearing godamn sandals? I guess hygiene doesn't matter in a *checks notes* restaurant... Oh, and opening at 11AM is ridiculous. But, what can you expect: NVD is all about money
Friendly service with a smile. Good portions and good prices.
Stopped for lunch on our way back from Dawson City and the food and service was very good. The food was very fresh and came surprisingly quick. Would stop again if we had a chance.
