Goat's Beard Mountain Supplies has beautiful casual clothing in the Goatique as well as a great library of books and maps of the area, shoes for running, hiking, climbing, and for fun, as well as all the camping, climbing, and hiking gear you could need on your visit to the North Cascades. We also do bike rentals including a Burly trailer!

High-end, High-quality gear for both the seasoned and curious mountaineer. fun fact: 'mazama' is actually a genus of brocket deer, found in the Yucatán Peninsula, Central/South AMERICA. Apparently, whomever originally named the town thought the name translated to "goat"--which is why infrastructural branding coalesced into the current, colloquial title. (Want even more irony? Look up the etymology of Yucatán). Both instances are interesting examples of how names are nothing more than evolving and confusingly-confounded linguistic models and tell a person absolutely nothing inherent about the symbols referenced..
