We were surprised to discover this small bakery shop outside of New Kennedy Plaza. They had a great variety of freshly baked Hong Kong style buns at a reasonable & affordable price. The quality of their buns were not bad at all. Appreciate their hard work during the pandemic. Hope they can keep it up!
Really want to recommend this hidden gem, especially the breads, it’s on the side of having more softness and moisture than western style bread, and they are better than what I bought from any Chinese grocery store. My family think the breads here are quite like home-made style, no fancy appearance but have good quality and texture. Moreover, they have earthy prices. We visited 3 times in the past week, the Mochi/Snowball are also good, more glutinous than normal, the stuffings are not too much sweet. One more thing want to notice, don’t go there too late during their open time, last time when we visited at around 5:30pm, there were barely any bread left.
I called in and pre-ordered a cake for my friend. I have never pre-ordered a cake from a place and it not be FRESHLY made the day of. I ordered a black forest cake. I ate it that night. It was already starting to taste sour and icing was hard and clearly could tell the cake is not fresh and definitely not even made the day before. I've had cake a day old, the pre-ordered cake definitely was like a week old if not longer. Never order a cake from here.
The worst Napoleon cake I have even eaten not to mention it is expensive too
This bakery has the absolute lowest prices for bolo buns and hotdogs buns. I love when they come out fresh. On a side note. Before you walk thru the door.... Just keep in mind, you didnt come here for the service. Lol...
Small bakery, I went past noon and there was the staple 8-10 buns every Chinese bakery has! I think they have more selection but when I went in, there was a woman who came out with a big bag of buns. I’m gonna guess she took most of the other buns! It smelled like they were also still baking in the back! : they’re cash only, buy 6 or more and there’s no tax!!
This company has the best pineapple buns. At only 60cents each tax incl if you get 6 or more I don't know how they even afford to pay rent. We come here Everytime we are eating in the area. Unlike other bakeries that come and go, this one has been around for a long time. I hope they stay open forever.
Ordered a birthday cake for my mom's 60th. Very fresh and nicely designed. Definitely recommend this bakery. The service was very friendly. They even delivered it to the restaurant for me, since the restaurant is in the same plaza.
Bought 2 cakes from Gloucester today that were both terrible. Both cakes were frozen in the middle and the lady working there did not mention that these cakes were not fresh. A "mousse" cake should not be flaking ice. Very disappointed that I shared these inedible frozen cakes with my family for a New Year's celebration.
Well priced buns and pasteries. Average selection.
