It was alright. I feel like anything you get there will be satisfying, but nothing will be done incredibly well. Fish and chips could have used a slice of lemon, or maybe a homemade tartar sauce instead of Kraft packets.
I took my two preteen boys there for lunch over March break. Food was great, our server was great! However, the owner stopped by our table to have a chat with my two boys. She wouldn’t look me in the eye and refused to engage with me. She only spoke with the children. It made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. It will be the last time I spend money there.
The food was good...home cooked feel and the sign showed they had plenty of pie/dessert options however, it took an hour and 10 mins from the time we ordered to the time we got our food. Not sure if it was simply an off night or the usual wait time. The servers were friendly but not overly attentive as I feel they could have given a heads up about the wait or acknowledge it at least.
Good chili. We have been trying to come to this restaurant on several trips in the area, but always seem to miss it, or come by when they are closed. We finally made it this time and enjoyed a meal. The food was great. They were following all COVID-19 protocols, and the staff and customer service was lovely. I have come here many times and always seem to get the chili. Fantastic every time.
Disappointed. Drove from Amherst to enjoy dinner there on a Saturday after checking their times on Google. Google said they were open from 11am-7pm. Got there to find out they are closed. Accurate, updated business hours would be appreciated on Google.
We ordered Philly Steak Sandwich and what we got was not steak, but pre-sliced beef like from a package. It was hot, but very dry and had to HP Sauce to give it flavour. Disappointing
I found the restaurant kind of 'gloomy'. Staff didn't appear to be too enthusiastic. I ordered fish and chips and that was what I got...no garnish, colslaw, lemon except a couple of prepackaged tartar sauce. When asked, I was informed that there was an extra charge for these items and indeed I was charged 75p for a small plastic container of colslaw. Thus, I shall not be returning to this restaurant...no one likes to be 'nickled and dimed' to the point of absurdity.
First time here sense the rebuild, food was great, beer was cold and reasonably priced. Get the cheesecake.
Love the food and the service was great and people were very nice and I would recommend this place to my family and friends
