Terrible service. I was browsing the store with a couple of friends when the man intervenes and tells me to leave and only one person should be allowed in the store. But remember, he was not doing it because of Covid, he was not doing it to make room for other customers, he was just trying to boost his ego as a “boss”. He didn’t have a single other customer in the store, we were not “sketchy” at all either, we had no bags to steal anything yet he still was rude. I was not sketchy at all as u was standing in front of the counter where he was, browsing the chocolate bars from ~1 meter away. I can’t believe how you can try to run a business but be as unprofessional as trying to shoo away customers. Hopefully this place goes out of business.

WARNING WARNING WARNING Terrible business practices. Business owner does not provide transaction receipt nor does he provide refund as outlined by buyers remorse law. I warned the owner I would call police to file complaint. The business will be reported to CRA and HST as well. BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!

Terrible experience at this shop. Owner refused to provide a receipt illegal after purchase. After trying product out cellphone cord and charging block and learning that it wasn't compatible with my cellphone,... I went back about 30m later to return the charging block only and he refused and said "no refund" well mister, I don't know how long you've been in Canada for but that's illegal and CRA and BBB will be notified of your shady practices. DO NOT SHOP HERE

I want to be fair, nothing against who ever spoke with me over the phone, but clearly no professionalism! In short, asked for info about the equivalent to European cigarettes in the Canadian market … the wall never answered!

While the magazine selection is good, the customer service is terrible. The various employees are rude, impatient and make inappropriate jokes and comments. One of the staff joked they would kill me if I came in again between him mopping. Not funny, do not shop here.

Dusty old store with nearly stale merchandise. Staff will yell at customers if they do not act accordingly during the transaction. These are just facts based on my experience. You may have better luck.

There's been a magazine and smoke shop at this location for more than 50 years. I hadn't visited in more than 30. I went to find the Sunday New York Times. My usual source this particular Sunday morning had sold out. I called the Glebe Tobacco Shop and asked if they had it. The woman on the phone said she did. I asked if she'd keep one for me as it would take some time for me to get across town to pick it up. "Not a problem" she said. When I got to the shop, mask on, I went in and up to the main counter. There was only one other person in the shop, a woman at the cash. I said I had called earlier about the Sunday NYT. She asked my name. I gave it. She pulled out a copy with my name hand printed on it. That is very fine service. I was impressed.

ZERO STARS. Absolutely terrible service. I will NEVER be coming back. Today, I went into the Glebe Smoke Shop to buy literary magazines. I was in the store deciding what I wanted for all of five minutes before the guy who was working cornered me in the back of the store with his mask around his chin and told me that "this isn't a library" and "you're not the sort of person I want in this store". He then directed me to leave his store. I have been coming here for ten years to buy literary magazines and have never been treated so terribly and, for no reason. I was about to choose three literary mags which aren't cheap btw right before he treated me this way. I AM APPALLED.

Good service, convenient location. Always end up stopping here when in the Glebe area

Best service I've ever had in my entire 49 years. Kind. Respectful. Great selection of cigarettes, cigars and magazines. It may only be a smoke shop, but treat yourself to an exceptional experience and try them out. I'll personally guarantee your happiness in dealing with them, or I'll mow your lawn.
