As I live in downtown Ottawa, I have been here several times in the past couple years. Over my various visits, I have sampled many of their plates quesadillas, fish and chips, black bean burger and enjoyed my food. Good selection of beers as well.
It’s been a tough season for the REDBLACKS season. After the last home game, walked up Bank Street to the Glebe Central Pub. Admittedly, it’s still strange to see a packed restaurant, but also great to see friends and fans gather post-game. The game day menu, while limited, made sure it had something to fill the hunger void. All the safety protocols were in place vaccination check, etc. The service was attentive and quick, especially considering the place was hoping. I’m looking forward to next season, but in the meantime, I’ll be visiting here again.
Really great bar in a central part of the Glebe. They have a wide selection of beers and other cocktails to choose from the espresso martini tastes amazing, as well as solid food options. The price is a little higher than other nearby options but overall the place has a great vibe that the additional costs are warranted. It was quite busy when I went but it seemed like a one-off and I imagine the place isn’t too crowded on most days. Shoutout to Spencer for the phenomenal service when I went!
Super chill local, haven't had a chance to try the food here yet, but service is great, really nice offering of craft beers and major breweries. Reasonable prices, chill atmosphere. Sports are also usually on here if it's a game night, which I care not for, and have no choice but to tolerate and speak loudly to whoever I'm there with..
First bit of sunshine patio was open immediately even in February. Waitress/bartender was thoughtful and on the ball. Was everywhere all at once and she did a great job keeping everyone looked after.
Atrocious service! Went for dinner early evening and the place was very quiet. Despite this we were left waiting at table for 15 mins without anyone coming to take a drink or food order. Servers were all at bar chatting and not paying attention to customers at all. This used to be our great local neighborhood pub but with the latest change of owners this sort of experience is common here. We eventually walked out and went to the much more friendly Irene's Pub further along Bank Street. Unless the owners work hard to change things around this place will struggle to survive given the many other better options available in the Glebe/Lansdowne area.
Had a great time. Bartenders were attentive, beer selection was great too. Classic pub vibe, inviting, and warm. Good sense of community here.
The food was atrocious. Had breakfast. Partners sandwich was nearly inedible and her portion of potatoes negligible. My Benedict was gross, eggs overpoached. Fine place for drinks, but food was a bad experience. When it was Ps and Qs the food was much better, but then again the owner at that time did a lot of the cooking and prided himself on it.
Excellent atmosphere, especially if you are coming in to watch a football Soccer match. Good breakfast and reasonable prices.
Great place to hangout and watch the game. Decent food and cocktails. The breakfast sandwich on a homemade english muffin is one of my favourite things to order. Owner and staff are really friendly and attentive, too. I’ve only once had to wait over an hour for my meal. Lesson learned - it’s a good idea to call in advance if you’re planning to do an event there, to make sure that they are adequately staffed.
