Story

Glad Tidings is a church with a focus on the Bible and its message of God’s kingdom. We view the Bible as God’s Word and therefore the foundation for all that we do. We strive to have an ever-expanding ministry and a positive awareness of our responsibilities to the world in which we live. We, as a congregation, are interested in the spiritual welfare of each child, teen, adult, and family in our community and everywhere.

Our full name is “Glad Tidings Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith” and we are affiliated with the Church of God General Conference, Atlanta, Georgia. The subtitle “Abrahamic Faith” distinguishes us from the many other denominations that call themselves “Church of God.” Since Abraham was a man of great faith and the recipient of many promises from God, he is an outstanding example for all who desire to please our God and Father in heaven.

Our church was established in 1846 and we feel that God has blessed us richly in so many ways during all these years. We give Him all the praise for all the gladness we enjoy. We would be very happy to see you at Glad Tidings Church of God.

Our congregation of family and friends extends to you a warm greeting and a sincere “Thank you!” for visiting our site today. If you do not have a church home, please consider joining us this Sunday at 10:45am. We are located at 1 Pancake Lane in Fonthill, Ontario.

Visitors are always welcome and we think you will find us to be a warm, friendly, and caring congregation. We also invite you to find out more about our church. Pastor Daniel Calcagno would consider it a privilege to talk with you about the church, living the Christian life, how to become a Christian, or any issue you may be experiencing. Growing up in the Niagara Region, Pastor Daniel and Sarah are eager to serve Glad Tidings and our community.
