I've been going to these lakes for almost 40 years. I fished with my father and brother here, then my now 26 year old son and just took my 5 year old daughter for the first time. They have swim vests for all ages and we love to float and catch some sun.
Very enjoyable scenic setting. Peaceful surroundings. Great place to walk your pets and do a little fishing even Restrooms: Public restrooms are closed for the winter but you do have access to a portable restroom. Dog-friendliness: Plenty of room for dogs to stretch their legs Picnic area: They have a picnic area but the table I feel needs to be replaced.
I bring my dog here for walks and he loves it! Also love seeing the cute ducks hanging out and even saw an eagle there a few weeks ago.
A nice little nature retreat in the middle of the increasingly modernized Marysville. It's a calm, beautiful spot, particularly nice during the summer. A trail wraps most of the way around the lake. It's a pleasant, quiet little walk with a couple good spots to sit and enjoy the view and sounds of nature. Beware of bugs at the further end of the trail! Lots of people park and eat lunch in the parking lot, but I've never seen this place crowded.
I love this little park. There are always people out fishing. I like to walk around the lakes, and get to the little land spit in between the lakes. Its a nice spot to sit and watch the sunset. The parking lot is spacious and quiet. Nice green grass to enjoy and it's not usually very busy here
I do enjoy taking the family here to go for a walk. It's quite a walk around both lakes. It is mostly surrounded by trees. The park is kept relatively clean from litter. There is now a wheelchair accessible ramp going down to the north lake. The negatives are few but here they are. There are a lot of ducks, geese and other birds that do defecate all over. Some apartments were put in on the adjoining property to the north which does take away from the surrounded by nature feel.
I haven't ever spent much time here. I do know that it is a famous place for people to release their unwanted fish and turtles. And saw animals being released while I was there. 6 people made 2 trips a to a vehicle and released animals in the south lake.
There is a little swimming area, that's marked off. No fishing in that area, but everywhere else is fair game. I haven't fished it yet. It's only about 6' deep through out. I will fish there someday. Paddle boarding is allowed and small boats, no motors. Restrooms: There is a porta potty and a building with bathrooms when the building is unlocked. Dog-friendliness: Plenty of room for dogs, probably on a leash. Depending on the dog.
I really like how big this place is you can walk the kids around the whole park and get them nice and tired. They also have a very neat food garden to go walk through as well as a couple playgrounds.
Very cute little lake. I only stayed a few min but I saw lots of beautiful birds in that short amount of time. Loved it!!
