The food was pretty good, came warm like it was supposed to, and the waitress was also really nice. The presentation on the food could have been better but it was still beautiful. The service was also really good. Overall very good, but do be aware some sushi comes with special sauces that can be salty. The Miso soup was also a bit salty too. Good for 1 or 2 people, but not good for a group of many people, your bill could take a hit. For cheaper options, head over to Tokyo Sushi, or Sushi Train for more both cheaper and more options. Vegetarian options: I had sweet potato rolls and it was amazing. Highly recommend it if you are new to sushi. Sweet Potato Rolls are supposed to come warm as well. Kid-friendliness: I'm a 16 year old girl in the body of a 12 year old. They treated me like I was an adult which is PERFECT if you have a more mature child who loves to be treated like a legit adult.
Absolutely wonderful. The owner Linda has always been so kind and accommodating since Ginza first opened and my family goes here often. Fried rice that has never ever been beaten before in my opinion, a lovely rainbow roll and many more items that are top tier. If you can't decide what to eat tonight and are by this location, search no further. GO HERE! It's amazing food with amazing staff. I look forward to eating here for many more years to come! Attached is my usual to go order of two rainbow rolls.
Very much not impressed... Not only was I the only person in the restaurant on a Saturday night at dinner time, the service didn't show it. I was told to sit anywhere and they brought a menu to me. I ordered a plum wine which arrived cold and delicious. I placed an order for 2 small sushi rolls to get me started, while waiting for the rolls to arrive I poured myself some soy sauce and the bottle left my hand covered in sticky old soy sauce from the side of the bottle, picture posted showing this wiped on a napkin. Empty restaurants should have clean items on the table. The salmon skin roll arrived and lacked in flavor, typically this roll has a nice salty flavor, which is why I seek it out, this one did not, even dipped in soy. The yellowtail roll was good. As I sat and ate my 2 starter rolls the server stood at the front counter chatting with a coworker rather than cleaning the one dirty table in the restaurant. She never checked on me or asked if I wanted to order anything more. In fact, I had both rolls finished and it wasn't until my shoe accidentally made a sound against the table that she even remembered I was there. When she heard the noise, she came running over and I was able to order the rest of my food. I ordered a roll and some Nigari/sashami - the roll was good but not overly flavorful based on what was in it, sushi was ... Okay. The yellowtail strangely looked as if it was oxidizing.. or starting to discolor as the interior was nice white/pink that I expected to see and the outside was almost tan/brown looking. I ate one of the 2 pieces and found something hard in it ... I wasn't interested in finishing after that. I tried this place on a whim and left disappointed that I did.. I won't be back and cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.
First time at this restaurant. I’m giving them a 3 star rating because of the following… Food was okay… it wasn’t amazing and I don’t think the cost should be so high. There is no habachi grill, but hibachi style dishes so don’t expect the experience of hibachi grilling in front of you. Fried udon noodles were not good. Snow mountain roll was amazing! So if u can’t decide than get the snow mountain. Customer service was okay.. she was a nice older gal. Just a few things we were asking for multiple time and did not give us.
Current: We tried another sushi place on the opposite side of town and we now go there. It is a few dollars more expensive, however, we believe the quality of food is better except the gyozas and house salad are similar. With the hibachi, Ginza offers fried rice as a side with no up charge and it's good. Just prior to COVID in 2020, I noticed the chicken wasn't the same, lacked flavor and texture. I came here a few days ago to try the chicken again and it was the same thing add in a thinner teriyaki sauce and it lacked flavor. If you're craving this food, need a cheaper option then this is still a fine option to dine at. I would suggest their lunch option. A decent amount of food that is of course a less expensive option than the dinner. 2017 Review: 4 stars.. We are newer to the area and received coupons for here in the mail so we stopped in one night. The chicken teriyaki seemed a little watery versus thicker sauce with flavor. One of the times coming I found a hair in my food so be careful of that. There was no issue sending it back for a new meal. The house salad was good, along with the gyozas. The rolls were okay. Not the best we've had but they were still good and we would stop here again. Our service was also good and we didn't have any issues with any of the workers throughout the time there. Kid-friendliness: High chairs
I started with scallops. 2 PC. What I got looked like 2 pieces of a single scallop, sliced so thin you couldn't taste the meat, over rice. Next, I had a had roll set. Not sure why it was called a set because it was 1 shrimp tempura roll. The flavor was good but it's just 1 piece of shrimp that filled maybe 1/3 of of the roll. The rest was just loosely packed rice in a seaweed wrap. It came with miso soup which was just broth...no onion, no tofu, seriously bland. The last item was a spicy tuna roll. It wasn't spicy, and I didn't see or taste any tuna, just veggies. It was poorly wrapped/rolled, just loose and limp falling apart trying to eat it. If you want to spend $40 for rice rolled in seaweed wraps that has maybe $3 worth of protein in it, then this is your place! Personally I prefer to get good sushi that is professionally crafted.
I've ordered take-out multiple times and am always satisfied. The sushi rolls are tasty, fresh, and always ready on time. Staff seem very friendly as well.Food: 5/5
Food is good and employees friendly. Seems similar in quality as the other sushi place on other side of hwy 169. Overall great option close to home but I have had better sushi, so going with 4 stars.
I tried to order a "Sushi Lunch" combo by walking in the front door. The person could not understand me, even after I pointed at the item on the menu and gave me ala carte sushi of Tuna and Salmon, which is 3 dollars more and not what I ordered. Upon receipt, I informed her that I had ordered a Sushi Lunch special 4 pieces and did not get salad or my roll. The lady at the front desk informed me that this was what I ordered and offered to do nothing. Worst customer experience I've had in a while.
Came in for a quick dinner before a movie. Ordered two rolls, crab rangoon, and a side of noodles to split with my friend. The OMG roll was so good! We also got the Snow Mountain roll and enjoyed it. The rangoon had a nice amount of filling inside. Will definitely be back.
