Burger was dry and have very little flavor. Quite upset that I got just a half a strip of bacon on my Bacon cheeseburger. For the burger, fries with gravy, and what they say is a medium drink, it cost 19cad. Not impressed
Saw this place when we moved provinces last year. They were closed for the season. Finally got the chance to try it. Delicious cheeseburger & fries. Healthy portions. Other people with me had...Hot chicken, crispy chicken burger, chicken wrap and BLTs; they look good too. Good $ value as well. Didn't try the dairy bar though. Maybe next time. Everything is ordered then brought out to you. Only downfall is all containers, utensils, etc goes in waste and not compost or recycle. Lots of parking, picnic tables with umbrellas and even a playground.
Basic well made BLT at a good price. I dined-in …. Check out the amount of plastic and styrofoam !
Great aesthetic, amazing food, friendly staff. Lots of selection, and they offer car service as well! Love this place!
The only reason this place is still in buisiness is because of nostalgia, but it calling it a shell of its former self is would be too much praise. It cost 41 dollars before tip for my wife and I to eat here, each got chicken burger and fries and drink. Buns were dry and burger was small. Asked for chicken gravy as I can't eat beef, came back with dark gravy, when my wife asked them about they said they used a beef stock. When we tried to get the gravy replaced,we were told we never asked for chicken gravy.... then asked if we wanted onion rings instead.... Don't ruin your childhood memories by coming to gillises now.
While the nostalgia is still there the great food isn't! Still an ok place to get a milkshake when they're actually open.
Great food I love it here
Looked forward to trying this place as it seemed very cool. Not only was it over priced for what we received but the food was not good. My burger was burnt, the gravy on my poutine was watery and tasteless. The other four people at my table were not happy with their food either. We had to go eat somewhere else as soon as we left because the food was that bad. Service was ok, nothing special.
Love this place. Great food, great staff, wonderful atmosphere. 100% recommend!!!
Great concept, old drive in feel. The Lobster burger was very good, and a good portion of fries. I did like the coleslaw, but my wife did not. Friendly staff and decent prices
