Lovely trails in an old growth of Eastern White Pines. The tallest tree in Ontario is here. Add the side trail down to the beach on the Ottawa River.
Definitely a short morning walk, but oh so beautiful! We visited on an August Thursday morning around 8am and passed a few folks out walking their dogs on the wide paths covered in pine needles. But once we veered off to the more narrow paths we we all on our own. We spent about 45 minutes and covered most of the trails, enjoying ever but if it. The trees are magnificent!

Great hiking trail right in Arnprior. Once you get into the trail area , it is quite spectacular, safe and enjoyable. There are clearly some very old trees as the entire canopy is old growth; at least what I've seen. Well-worth visiting this area if you are in Arnprior or visiting.
Truly a small wonder in this small town. This is one of those places that makes you thankful for being a Canadian. Unassuming and peaceful trails that are well-maintained and easy for almost everyone. A real mental health break.
