I just wanna shout out Erin with all the help and support during my sister’s after care and celebration of life and helping my nieces and nephews and all our family in general during our difficult time.nShe was beyond amazing like beyond.nI highly recommend this beautiful place as a final goodbye. They take exceptional care of our deceased loved ones and help us manage through everything that comes with decisions and planning after with ease.nThank you Gilbart funeral home and Erin thank you for making it so much easier and just being present and allowing even the kids to talk with you about everything. You are an amazing human and I’ll forever appreciate you and your team.

I worked in palliative care and have therefore had a lot of experience with funeral homes and the support they provide for families during very challenging times. Two weeks ago we had Gilbert Funeral Homes support our family through my moms service and arrangements. They were incredibly patient kind and helpful. With our unique religious needs, the staff showed incredible respect as they gave us more time to prepare my mothers body with the Baha’i burial needs. On these multiple visits to Gilbert funeral home owner David Gilbart and staff member Erin Shultz-Marsh graciously accommodated us despite being busy with other families. I’d flown home hours after my mothers passing and Erin stayed later that day to meet my dad and i so i could kiss my mom goodbye. I can’t thank the staff enough for their attention to detail, patience and thoughtfulness. On the day of our service, I noted the owner David Gilbart had graciously cleaned up a large milk spill himself made by one of our guests. Erin was also wonderful with my dad as she helped him through all the final stage details and paperwork never upselling us on options. Erin even quickly stepped up to help in her unassuming and respectful manner as a pallbearer when it was apparent we needed one extra person. I know this is a long review but our family was very grateful and feel it was worth driving to Selkirk for this intimate setting and unique support we felt from this team at Gilbart Funeral Home. They promptly returned all my calls and were very accommodating and so respectful when I asked to see her privately shortly after her passing. The staff here are very compassionate and go above and beyond. Everyone at the service expressed their positive thoughts about the whole service. Rev. Anton Bouw was so sincere and everyone felt it was a true celebration of my mother's life. He was a great comfort to us all. Erin's support and guidance made a difficult time much easier to bear. The food service was impeccable and professional.nAll gratefully appreciated.
