Really good food and drinks. We scheduled dinner with or hotel stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. We all really enjoyed our dinner. The children had children's meals of steak, hamburger, and chicken. They also had the appetizers of flat bread, crisps, and veggies. For dessert they had, vanilla ice cream, ice cream with chocolate sauce, and pancakes. The really enjoyed each of there meals. We had the grilled veggies plate and lamb chop plate with the mushroom appetizer. All were great. For dessert we shared the toffee pudding with custard. All was delicious. Besides pints, we also had the espresso martini. It was a dessert by itself. We look forward to returning tomorrow for breakfast. We returned for breakfast the next morning that was included with the price of the evening meal. It was a great deal. The breakfast included continental and hot ordered food. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Various teas and coffee included. I enjoyed a flat white with two extra shots of espresso.
Went for dinner as offered 40% discount on main meals. Wanted a chicken stack, but after ordering it and waiting for our meals, we were told it wasn't available. I ordered a mixed grill and cancelled the onion rings we'd previously ordered as they were with the mixed grill. We had calamari to start with, which was nice, although we thought the portion was on the smaller size! Main courses arrived with the onion rings we'd cancelled. The mains were good and certainly filled us up to the extent we didn't have enough room for a sweets. Will go again to get our free deserts we've earned from the loyalty card and if they offer another special offer discount.
The staff are well bonded and seem to enjoy working with each other, which makes the experience enjoyable, also seem to have all the time in the world to talk to you to make you feel that there nowhere else to be. Really enjoyed the meal and time I was there.
Increase in Energy prices, end user it’s a customer- x4 small chicken wings £4.99 = £1.33 per wing. I’ve booked a table in the restaurant and was asked to sit in the bar :Recommended dishesBeef Burger
About what you'd expect for a premier Inn breakfast, not bad, not great - a decent unlimited breakfast Vegetarian options: The vegan sausages were nice but the vegan bacon wasn't great
Generally disappointing, as I've dined at other branches of this chain before, with better overall impressions. This specific venue appears to be given over to large groups of bad mannered low income local bargain seekers, whose poorly behaved children are allowed to set the agenda for all on premises. Couples , or smaller parties of people in search of a steakhouse dining experience with restful and respectful atmosphere are best advised to avoid this one. I particularly found the attitude of the front of house person on duty that evening really distasteful, dismissive and rude, when we requested not to be seated right next to large parties of misbehaving children. The attitude being one of " too bad, this is a family restaurant " , as their biggest fan and obviously part of the problem, not any solution. We were eventually seated at another table...next to another large, noisy and poorly behaved group. It appears that this restaurant limits its efforts to accomodate anybody else other than their preferred social demographic, by putting them into cramped corner seating with zero atmosphere, view, or anything else to please the diners. That said, I would like to properly compliment our server, Carol, who provided us with really excellent service throughout an otherwise generally forgettable visit. Very polite, friendly, attentive without being intrusive and anticipating possible diner needs even before we ourselves thought of them, all while having to indulge the poor behaviour of other slovenly " guests ". I'd gladly rate her 5 stars plus. She deserves to work in a much better restaurant environment than here and I do wish her well, with thanks. Definitely won't be back here, but look forward to revisiting other branches where management has better overall control and a better behaved dining audience can be located.
We went for our Christmas group lunch it was great we had our own section of the restaurant and they gave us free Christmas crackers. The food was good and large portions were served. The waitress was very present. Would recommend.Food: 5/5
Wonderful staff!! All very chatty and enthusiastic. Meals took a little while, but they all came out at the same time. Ribeye was cooked perfectly, the chips were fantastic. Shout out to the staff member with the half pink, half black hair!
It was our first visit here. If I'm honest I wasn't expecting to much, however I was very impressed with the great service and the food. The person serving us was brilliant. Really enjoyed my first visit here and I hope to visit again in the near futureFood: 4/5
