What a terrific place for a REAL pub meal. My friends and I had been planning to check out The Gibbled Goose for quite a while and when we finally followed through in mid-May our only regret was not doing it sooner. OUTSTANDING quality pub fare, with fish and chips that are definitely five star. EXCELLENT service that says this is an establishment that cares about ensuring its customers have a great time take a bow Ben! We are looking forward to getting back there very soon to start working our way through the menu! Actually the fish and chips was so good we may have to do a repeat on that before we decide to spread our wings! Definitely check our The Gibbled Goose soon!
Sat on the patio, which is a roped-off section of the parking lot. We had large chicken curry poutine and classic BLT. Couldn't find any cheese on the poutine, but still tastey. BLT was tastey too, bacon slices were small and thin. The Rum Goose cocktail was nice, hometown beer was nice too.Food: 4/5
We ordered the chicken Caesar salad and a burger in lettuce wrap and coleslaw. The salad and coleslaw were amazing. The only thing I would recommend is a bigger piece of lettuce for the wrap.Recommended dishes
Absolutely hands down worst meal/drink/service I've ever received Food wasn't cooked soggy and cold Bottles of beer where slinky and un drinkable. Floors where sticky and littered with garbage. Both my wife and I went home unable to finish out meals and sick once we got home..... Was not a busy night as we where the only people present. UPDATE our dog won't even eat the 'food' we brought home from you...
I you like UK food this place might be for you!! Dropped in for lunch. We had the curry pie and the shepherds pie. Both super tasty!! Although not what we expected!! Fast friendly service highly recommended if you are in the area!
Excellent pub in little Waterford. Had the steak and mushroom pie with beets salad side for $2 extra. GF had the fish and chips with a side ceasar salad. All really taste. Steak and mushroom gravy was a tad salty but enough of a concern to warrant a star reduction. Would most definitely return next visit to Waterford. Oh one more thing the Hometown HTBC Ale is very nice; nice character.
This past weekend we ordered takeout from the Gibbled Goose for our family gathering. Lorraine and her team were amazing and we were able to pre-order a few days in advance and plan our pick up time. Although it was a busy Saturday afternoon our order was ready on time and beautifully organized by name which made it so easy once we got home. The food was delicious and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their menu choice. The portion sizes were perfect so nothing went to waste. Takeout containers were either compostable or recyclable too which I appreciated. Thank you Gibbled Goose for an amazing first experience. We will definitely not hesitate to order again and hope to come and dine in soon! Note: below I indicated $20-30 per meal but that includes tax and tip… most meals were $16-23
1st time ordering and it was delicious. Had fish and chips plus chocolate milkshakes. Everything was great. Will order again!
Don't skip dessert! Went above and beyond my expectations. Overall 5 star for everything you could think of, service, prices etc. Even brought out the food we left behind to take home for leftovers I'll be back soon. Thank you! P.S don't skip dessert. Ahem, the milkshake
Great dining experience. Our server was super pleasant and making sure we were ok during our meal. Not to mention our fish and chips was tasty as expected. Great job guys. A definate recommendation.
