Giant Tiger

I went to Giant Tiger this past Thursday evening, the store was clean, and very organized. While i was waiting in a very long line, I couldn’t help but notice how hard the cashier, Noorhan E., was working. She handled the line all by herself and kept everything moving so smoothly. When it was my turn to be served, she greeted me with the warmest smile. She was so kind, friendly, and very helpful, truly a wonderful young lady. It’s not often you see someone so patient, especially when the store is busy. She did an amazing job.

My favourite Giant Tiger in GTA, but it's so far away. We need one in the old city of Toronto. This location is always tidy and has a great selection of clothes, at great prices. They carry many Canadian-made groceries and vegetables. I see it's an ideal location here, because of the big parking lot, located in a residential area, with a transit route. Staff are helpful and friendly. Maybe one day there will be one downtown.

Update: Brought this up to the lady working at lottery. She thanked me and said she’ll notify the workers.nnBeware! Rat bite marks on popcorn. I saw this immediately after I left the store. Honestly everything about this store is unsanitary. I’ve seen things sold after expiration date. Slow check-outs and no self-checkouts. Workers look miserable and grumpy. Super gross.

Convenient store and good selection of products, reasonably priced. BUT, lately the lineups are so bad. They have self check outs yet they are always closed and then there’s only one person on register. Lately waiting in line up to 10 minutes. Lots of customers around 5-7pm coming home wanting to pick up something quickly. I worked grocery retail 20 years ago and they trained several of us stockers to do register and would call us up at busy times. Give it a try!

I was in the store last night and the only good experience was Samantha at cash. She was friendly and helpful as we navigated a long line and both self checks not in service ? I also cut my finger on a buggy handle that the plastic cover was cracked and parts missing. Tired of seeing staff at stores worked to the ground and owners and their managers doing not much . I have been shopping at Giant Tiger for years before they were in the city & think this 1 needs some help.
