"Many people ask us where our name comes from, or “who is Gian?” We always enjoy sharing a bit about our grandfather, Gian. He started the restaurant and Indian sweets business in 1940 in a little town called Jagraon, in the province of Punjab, India. Since then, our father has carried his name, taking over the business after our grandfather passed away. Gian’s has now been serving Abbotsford for over 20 years. Our dad is still involved in the business, lending a hand, and helping us to maintain our focus on traditional, quality Indian cuisine."

The staff were warm and welcoming when I walked in just before lunchtime on a Monday morning. The spice aroma was all encompassing throughout the room, warming me with delicious thoughts. All areas are clean and well looked after. The lunch buffet had a really varied variety and all dishes that i tried were quite tasty. I will definitely be coming back here in the very near future.
Excellent customer service, super friendly wait staff and high quality food. We all enjoyed our meals and even had some leftovers. We will be back. Vegetarian options: There are lots of vegetarian options available.
Seriously some of the best food I’ve ever had. Service was super friendly, and it made my experience with my partner that much more special after not seeing each other for a long period of time. I like the atmosphere too. Will definitely be back as the cravings don’t lie!
Overall this restaurant isn't so bad, the servers are absolutely fantastic. My only complaint is that I've gotten served raw chicken on two occasions, when showed to the server she was 100% nice about it and said she would talk to the manager. I was disappointed when the manager couldn't be bothered to even come out an apologize. I didn't expect an apology but it would have been nice, my reason for the complaint was that I just didn't want anyone else to get sick.
I had butter chicken and garlic bread and it was perfect, highly recommended
The food here is absolutely great. But. The decor is pretty lacking, not a huge deal but you expect a bit of show in what is often considered the local premiere dining hall of its particular cuisine. The service was lack lustre, the server was very unknowledeable and so, so slow. We waited about 40 minutes for her to come by so we could order more naan in an almost empty restaurant. And lastly, although no decor and initially no music- someone decided it would be a good idea to turn on the big TV facing us to play the Punjabi gangster version of MTV where video after video featured gang fights, shoot outs and outright cold executions. I'm not kidding. There's other places to get a good curry in Abby....
The only joint open in Abbotsford for some great delicious Indian food. Must visit :Food: 5/5
Excellent Customer Service, great food, food was very tasty with the right amount of spice. Absolutely loved it. You get small quantities though. You get half the amount of food for the same price as other Indian restaurants.
Went for the lunch buffet for the first time in over a year. Was totally remodeled looks good! Definitely needed it. Food was a flavour explosion a bit of everything even had the carrot dessert I like. Lun butter chicken, samosas, curried Lauper tender lamb, veggie dishes ch buffet is on until 2pm ish $15.50 including tax.
I reserved my table two days ago, but when I showed up with my family…they said they are already full. Crew needs to be polite and the guy at front and manager were very rude and disrespectful. I could give it a zero, bt don’t have option for that.
