If you're looking for a historic hotel experience, then this is definitely the place. The owner has taken several cabins, dismantled them and painstakingly reconstructed them on the property here. The reconstructions are great and you can rent these cabins or one of the wagons to stay the night. The cabins are decorated authentically and the attention to detail is phenomenal. There are nice clean washrooms with running water and showers on site, but they are not located in the cabins themselves. Staff are very friendly. Great experience.
Had a great stay at Ghostown B&B. Breakfast wasn't too exciting but the stay was great. Nice and close to Cypress Hills where I usually like to camp. Room was very nice as well as washroom/shower facilities. Nice to have access to the bbq to make our own food as well.
Fantastic place to stay! Well crafted accommodation options from Chuck wagons to cabins. The cabins had an added touch in capturing a little history and materials from the ghost town they're named after. The staff were friendly, the rooms and facilities were clean and the views were peaceful. The fleeting distant background noises of passing trains, the neighbour's donkey and coyotes were a bonus in my opinion as it made it more homey. I would highly recommend checking this place out!
I spent two fabulous nights at Ghostown Blues over the May Long Weekend. I was midway through my annual spring motorcycle tour, and planned on celebrating my birthday there! I stayed in the Senate Sheep wagon. It was a fabulous experience for me as the location, Greg's attention to detail, local and worldly knowledge is excellent. The care and attention to detail by Greg in the development of the setting and the soul pleasing ambiance made this my new favorite Bed and Breakfast. The breakfast, the local knowledge from Colleen and Greg are extremely helpful in getting around the vast South Western Saskatchewan geography.
Spent three nights in the Senate Sheep Wagon. It was cute and comfortable. Extra blankets were available in the wagon for cooler nights and am electric heater is also inside. Bathrooms are beside and are flush, not outhouses. The place is full of cute antiques to look at. Showers are available in the church/eating lodge. Coffee and Breakfast are available in the morning. They brought out gluten free bread for toast, but it depends if it is available in town. I would still recommend bringing food if you have allergies. Great staff and great pets, too.
Looking for a fine place to stay, this is it. Place is just classy all the way through. Every detail has been thought through. Greg and his staff are doing an amazing job. Wife and I spent 2 of the most restful days we’ve had in a long time here. We’ll be back.
Visited a relative who was a guest. Got to view the property snd was super impressed. Quaint sleeping quarters in buildings that have been reclaimed from other towns. Excellent writes on each unit. ... Antique furnishings are well maintained, units are comfortanle with AC, bathroom were very vlean and modern. The setting for this B and B is restful with shady sitting spots, views of prairie vistas and quiet. I'll be booking next time I'm in Maple Creek.
Easy access from paved road, roomscabins with both authentic and kitchy western decor. Comfortable bed with quality sheets, towels. 4 Communal bathrooms with showers, very clean. Good breakfast.
Buyer beware, if you happen to have a change of plans, this small business has an iron clad policy to charge you for every single day you have booked. I explained to the owner that I absolutely understood that if I booked weeks in advance for a busy summer weekend he would be losing business, but I booked one week prior to my arrival for a mid-week stay in the middle of September and he still charged me for all three days. Not all circumstances are the same, but this business owner doesn’t see it that way. Appalling.
Great place. The whole thing is done up in a really tasteful way and really manages to give you a sense of community with the other guests as you share an evening around a fire! Plus, the stars are amazingly clear. I already want to go back.
