It's been sometime after I visited this place and it had trained it's excellent cuisine. The falafel are an all time favorites for me but the chicken shawarma is amazing too. This time I saw shawarma on rice on the menu. I dunno whether this has been there forever but it is a wholesome meal as my friend commended. The yellow rice is flaky and full of flavor topped with chicken shawarma and salad.u also get a serving of saj bread as well. Don't eat before u come here...koz u will leave belly full and satisfied. Vegetarian options: Falafel wrap and chips combo is very filling and tasty
Exceptional quality of ingredients and presentation. The staff was very kind, the service was rapid the ambience was relaxing. We enjoyed the falafel salad and a Shawarma salad with a light vinaigrette an amount of ingredients on top. We were full after our meal good value for money.Food: 5/5
Georgie’s “untraditional Shawarma” on rice is the best Shawarma we’ve ever had, with a beautiful blend of spices and warm Saj bread. The complexity of flavours and textures was notable, between the pickled turnip and peppers, lemon, the sweetness/bitterness of the pomegranate, and fluffy, creamy rice. The chicken was tender, not greasy. So good that we came back a couple of days later and ordered the same thing again.
Best shawarma wrap in the Sault. The portion of their shawarma is huge. The spices in their wrap are not overpowering. I love it. The price range is affordable. They have a friendly staff. The dining table, as well as the toilet room, is very clean.Food: 5/5
Sault Ste Marie y'all don't know how lucky you are! This restaurant has incredible flavor, excellent customer service and great location. The only downside is they're not open longer but hey work life balance. I've been going here since they opened and have only done take out. I call ahead and its usually 20min. If it's a nice day take your food along the board walk, grab hummus to go for later and I'd recommend the chicken plate with a single falafel or two!. They also donate back to the community so it's a restaurant you can get behind for years to come.
Chicken shawarma is one of my absolute favourite foods, so this place is great to have in the Sault! I've had the untraditional chicken shawarma, the shawarma plate on rice and the baklava and it was all so so good! Their fresh baked saj bread is so soft and delicious. The owner comes out often and asks tables how their meal is. I love this place. My only wish is that they would make fatayer!
My toddler was having a meltdown as we were walking in so we were planning on ordering to go. A server saw us discussing in the entrance and she came over, ushered us in and cheered up my toddler with stickers and a colouring page. She was so sweet and kept engaging her while we ate the best middle Eastern I've had in a very long time. Everyone who works there is great and the food reflects that
Ordered this untraditional shawarma sandwich and it was filled with overpowering flavors in the wrap which actually made me a bit sick. The garlic was way too much, I ordered no onions however they still put them in, and there was a sweetness in the wrap. There was definitely too many flavours going on and they missed the point of making the chicken the highlight. I was told that there falafel is good and I would give them the benefit of the doubt and come back to try that instead. I wish this place the best of luck as it seems that the locals admire this establishment.
We go here all the time, foods always been great. Since they changed staff, food quality has been changed. Today food was super cold, chiken was hard as rock, falafal was cold directly came from freezer, pita bread was super cold, asked to change it, kitchen lady denied and said that’s the food we serve. New kitchen staff is rude, don’t know what she is doing. If this kind of food being served by this staff, would never visit again. Old staff was way better and service was up to the mark but not anymore.
Stayed the night in Sault Ste Marie and was looking for something good to eat. Went to Google trying to find any kebab or chicken spots with a good reputation and came across Georgie's. I'm glad we did. We had a nice simple lunch. I had the traditional chicken shawarma, my friend had the untraditional chicken plate on rice. We were impressed with the first bite. Halfway thru our meal the owner came out and greeted us. Great guy. You can tell he takes pride in his food. I am hard to impress when it comes to food from Al-Sham area Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine and his food was VERY impressive. The residents of Sault Ste Marie have a gem in their downtown. And visitors should definitely check him out.
