I thought my 1st year college was bad. But Georgian has proved to be worse.nnI dint mind the professor and campus but the Registra faculty is just plain terrible.nnExplaining just one instance out of the MANY:nWhen u inform your students they can pick the certificates in a specific time, make sure at least one staff is present even if it is 12:30pm . Ppl come from a long way just to collect it, and asking us to wait for an hour is not acceptable. Esp when the students follow the schedule given.nnManagement: pls look at all the comments of your students and do something.
Good college, but at least give the guarantees and provide the students with the proper help when they search for the jobs!
They charged 40 dollars rent for convocation gown which they may rent the center with the 10000 cad very reasonable. Guys skip the convocation. I feel its the waste of precious time and money. Huge classes and using projectors where the reflections on white board not showing the ppt. It reflects bright light insted of projection of ppts and videos . Very uncomfortable to watch from 3 hours.
My experience with this college is also worse specially with one particular professor. He is racist and even he failed 11 of the students from same class. His attitude is at different level like no one is going to take any action against him . I saw many students who are also suffering because of him.
If there is one word to describe my experience at Georgian@ILAC, it is disappointment. I am a programming student at Georgian College.nnFirst of all, the college claims to have coop programs but the truth is they are a farce, our 2024 coop has been a complete failure as most of my classmates and other students did not and will not get a coop usually only 15 people get a coop, this said by someone is part of the coop department in a 1:1 meeting and confirming that this year was better than last year hehehe. Normally, the colleges help with partnerships with some companies to place their students and guarantee the fulfillment of the coop which doesn't happen here.nnAlso, the quality of the instructors is questionable, the level of communication is very ineffective and usually the problems in this college are solved by you somehow, they may be professionals and have worked in the area but they don't have the skills to teach people of course not all of them, there are exceptions.nnIf you are looking for quality and a future in Canada don't let them take it away from you with tricks like scholarships and tuition discounts, etc. Choose wisely!nGreetings!
