Great place to stay with friendly staff. The bar and restaurant were both wonderful with pool tables and slots. The owners continue to add and upgrade and we can't wait to come back someday and see what they've done with the place! Recommended!Rooms: 5/5
Recommend not to drive the Viking Trail 430 from Deer Lake to St. Anthony in one shot. Instead, take your time, explore all attractions along the way and spend a night at this Inn. Also, don't be put off by the external looks of the building. As other reviewers have mentioned, it's a school building, which the owners have converted into a small 9 room Inn. A decent place to spend one night, half way up the peninsula. We also had a good dinner at their restaurant. The hostess is friendly and very helpful. You will enjoy chatting with her. She gave us many tips on areas attractions and hiking. Thank you
10/10. Food was awesome. Best spot to eat north of Deer Lake. The bar is wicked, huge layout, couple pool tables and a very large dance floor. Also have a HUGE projected screen for sports and concerts and whatnot. In terms of the rooms, they are very clean and the beds are comfy. Bathrooms are cleaned and well accommodated. Owners are deadly people and good to get along with and have a chat. Would stay here again
The room where comfortable and the kids loved the bunk beds. All the staff where very kind. My brother in law and I had a great evening chatting with one of the owners in Newfoundland’s largest bar. Would definitely come back.Rooms: 5/5
This place is a must stay for anyone visiting. The Hotel owners are amazing people as well as the staff. Very friendly and down to earth. Food is excellent and the rooms are spotless and clean, the beds a very comfy. Would recommend it hands down.
Surprisingly great stay here, very unassuming on the outside. Close to the st barbe ferry and the restaurant had good food. Would stay again!
Don't drive by! This is a great place to stay if you're on a tour or hunting. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, the owner and staff become like family almost immediately.
Really interesting hotel in an old converted elementary school, which is a memorable experience! Not fancy, but clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly, chatty, and made us feel instantly welcome. Decent continental breakfast with homemade cookies is a plus! Main issue was that the water had a sufphur smell to it during my stay. I would recommend it to people who don't need too much luxury, and are looking for a unique and friendly place to stay.
Great hosts and service. Good value for your money. Bakeapple butter in AM with continental breakfast. Comfortable beds!
FABULOUS! So friendly. Good, honest, decent food. Clean rooms. We loved the bunkbeds!!! Can’t wait to have the opportunity to go back.
