Gator Ted's Tap & Grill

Sat March 4th 2023 Unexpected surprise. We went to Gators Bar & Grill on a whim. It was listed on Burlington’s Taste of Burlington, which we have used to discover many great eateries in town in the past. It is very unassuming for the uninitiated – but I am sure locals have been loving it for years. The restaurant is located in a very unremarkable strip mall next to other retail stores, dental offices and similar businesses. Inside it is a lot bigger than it looks. It is a fairly spacious sports bar with tons of seating and many televisions to watch the games. The menu has plenty of options that offer something for any taste. We had the Jalapeno burger with fries, as well as one of the Tastes of Burlington specials – the chicken souvlaki. The portions are good – and TofB specials even more so – a lot of food there. Although the restaurant was very busy when we were there the service was very good- efficient, friendly, and engaging.

The food was excellent and portion sizes were large. The service was quick and the staff are knowledgeable about the menu items. The atmosphere was welcoming and warm. Plenty of items to choose from as the menu has pretty much something for everyone.

No drinks other than beer or wine, only thing worth coming for are the wing, even then i prefer wild wings or wings up. And over priced! Also was charged an extra dollar and when i asked about it she said it was correct and wouldn't let me see the menu price. Definitely wont be coming back.Food: 2/5

We went there after a long hike while Maple Leafs game was broadcasting live. Great atmosphere, clean establishment, decent washrooms. We ordered 1 pound chicken wings half with their special sauce, half with Chipotle sauce. It makes like 4 chicken wings each. The half with special sauce was yummier, there was to much sauce on the Chipotle ones. French fries were fresh and just done right. For beer we had Rickart's red. It is dark rich beer which was perfect for the occasion. The ambiance, food was pretty good, great experience over all.

An extremely unassuming pub from the outside, it's only once you step inside you can understand why this is a spot that would feature a number of regulars. First and foremost for any sporting event this would be the place to be with the number of TVs they have around. Regardless of where you are sitting there isnt a bad seat in the house. You'll be able to watch the event from wherever you are. The food is solid. Standard pub fare is available, but it's all quite tasty. We had a couple of sandwich options, one with a substantial salad.and the other with fries. A side of non-breaded wings were also ordered, and everything was quite enjoyable. Our first visit was on the weekend during World Cup, just prior to the England match. Needless to say the place was rammed. Service was still great and worked to ensure that we were taken care of. While it's a little bit of a drive from where we are, Gator Ted's is definitely going to be a place we revisit. Kid-friendliness: Had a high chair for us no problem and helped to seat us in a low traffic spot so that our high chair wasn't a bother for anyone.

I read the reviews and was sold. We were not expecting such amazing service and food! The wings were top notch! The you're stupid hot sauce is AMAZING! Our servers were fantastic, we had all three or four of them looking after us. Our main server Michelle went above and beyond and made us feel like regulars! We will be back.

Everything was cooked just right. French onion soup, fish and chips, and the mushroom I'm Swiss was cooked perfectly. The staff were very prompt. All in all good experience.

If you are looking to watch sports, this is a great place to go. We sat in the bar area and there were tvs showing everything from hockey to pickleball. I ordered the chicken fingers with fries. You get a generous portion, my rating would be higher if the fingers were not overcooked. Otherwise, the food was tasty.Food: 3/5

A comfortable, friendly neighbourhood hangout. We sampled the Taste of Burlington prix fixe menu. Excellent value and very tasty pub grub. We had a corned beef sandwich and a schnitzel sandwich with mushroom gravy. French onion soup and a huge piece of baklava rounded out the 3 course lunch. We enjoyed all of it and the service was pleasant and attentive. We will return.
