Great local dive bar. Staff are always super nice. 2 medium 3 topping pizzas for $20.00 is an amazing price! Not only is the price good, but the pizza is excellent as well.
This place is the best neighbourhood dive bar to exist. The food is SO GOOD no matter what I’ve ordered I have never hated anything. The pizza is probably my favourite thing from here. The service is great depending who you get as a server. There’s always the usuals sitting at the bar but I never feel judged when I come in. Come for the food, the portions are generous and the food will make you so happy!
Gators Sports Pub is a small hole in the wall located in Woodbine that sure delivers on the food. Stopped in for a brewski last week only to discover from the regulars that the food is really quite good. I ordered a ten inch two topping pizza that was on the lunch specials for ten bucks and was pleasantly surprised, the crust was delicious and crunchy and they didn't skimp on the toppings. Judging by the overall taste of the pie, it was a home run. They have a take-out special of two medium three topping pizzas for twenty bucks and you cannot find a better deal than that in this town! The lasagna is to die for according to the regulars, so maybe next time we'll have to check that out. Great food for a neighbourhood pub without the big prices, well worth stopping in if you're in the area.
Great if you’re a regular otherwise they basically ignore you. Owner Is great at chatting with people he knows but will look at your table like the pic attached and walk passed you multiple times. The table sat like that for over 20 minutes. Brutal. I’ve been 4 times in 13 years and each time I regret it.
Love this place! It's the definition of a neighborhood pub - awesome food, great pricing and attentive service. The 2 med pizza pick up deal can't be beat nor can the pizza itself. Highly recommend visiting!
Ordered a steak sandwich. Got a steak dinner. The untraveled lady working the phones tried telling me no where I go can I get a steak sandwich with two slices of bread. I suggested subway, which she suggested I go to. So just in the next subdivision over there’s a GREAT subway that I’ve tried where you can get bread on both sides of your sandwich for HALF the cost. And if it’s not what you wanted they won’t argue with you telling you fact less points. I’m hangry as my review will show, because I’m staring at a slab of steak and a slice of garlic bread when I just wanted a friggin sandwich! If I wasn’t so upset to try and enjoy the food, I’d give a food review. BUT the lady at the counter arguing with me that it’s a Calgary wide knowledge that a steak sandwich is actually a steak dinner. They just call it a sandwich.
Ordered a large house pizza to share with a friend during our pool league. Was brought an unusually small “large pizza” and asked the server what the size difference in a medium vs large is. We were told that the large is 12” and the medium is 10”. A few minutes later, our server returned, apologizing that she accidentally rang in a medium pizza instead of a large. Still hungry, I asked if there was something she could do to make up the difference a 12” is actually close to 50% bigger than a 10”. Her only resolution was to order another pizza at regular price if we were still hungry. I countered with making us a small pizza and charging us for one large instead of a medium and a small. No dice. Won’t be returning.
The Best Damn Deep Fried Pickles around all the food is good pizzas great too. Karaoke o Sat nights its a good tie
Gators is a great little Sports Pub. With a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. A friendly environment. With friendly and polite servers. You can't go wrong, enjoying a game, some beer, and some good food.
Pretty good pub grub. Stopped in with friends for pizza and lasagne. Stopped in solo for a beef dip and a pony of beer. So far so good. Worth a try for woodbiners and even if your driving by.
