There is nothing else like it! I took my mom who is from out of town. We spent about 45 minutes in the lodge alone. It is spectacular. All of the natural elements, the wood, rock, expanses of glass that make you feel like you are still in the outdoors, it lifts my soul. We walked through the playgrounds and the vast variety, that also serve as art pieces, are simply awe inspiring and such a treat for the imagination of a child. We made it as far as the boat house and the quirky museum inside. We spent quite a bit of time in that small space. There is so much to look at. If you look long enough you will find another oddity or something that reminds you of your childhood. We only made it through a fraction of the park in the few hours we were there. We will have to return for more exploring.
This place is amazing! Best park I have ever seen! I wish all cities had a park like this. What more could you want?! It has paddle boats/kayaks seasonally, many parks with various themes, large walking trails, picnic areas, cafes, cutesy decor throughout, and expansive grass spaces. If you want some time outside, come here; you won’t regret it. It’s a beautiful outing no matter if you’re looking to relax, exercise, or even celebrate a special event!
This park is very impressive. There are numerous playgrounds for all different age ranges within the park. Maybe a dozen or so. The architecture of the playgrounds and the buildings are all very obviously custom made and artistically interesting to look at. This is not your average park. $465 million went into this park and it shows. No detail, however small, was overlooked. The museum was very cool and well designed. It sounds crazy and cliche, but words don't do this place justice. You have to see it to understand how amazing it is. All ages will enjoy this, kids and adults alike. Definitely worth seeing if you're in the area and have a couple hours to kill.
A wooden playground Paradise with Magnificent bathrooms Gathering places that series a fun playground areas made out of wood and metal it’s interesting and unique for kids of all ages. From the zip line to the multi story castle you can spend hours at this place and keep even the youngest kids attention. And did I miss in the bathrooms? Right in the center there’s a huge section of family bathrooms that are clean! They are literally the cleanest public bathrooms you will ever find at a park. In fact the staff that keeps this Park immaculate was doing a great job even when the temperatures for over 100°. If you live in Tulsa or are just passing through the Gathering Place is the place for you
Today was the perfect weather to go to the Gathering Place. They currently have their boats out to rent and paddle around the pond! The architecture is so stunning! We love going to play on the playgrounds and walk the trails. There are lots of water fountains and benches for when you get tired or need some water. There are multiple playgrounds for different recommend age groups, so there is something for the whole family to enjoy! There is a cafe with food options as well as beverages for adults. The ice cream in the parlor is delicious and creamy! There are bathrooms located in all buildings and around the main playground area. I highly recommend going here as a family, by yourself, with friends, even a date night would be nice here!
Very nice place. Everyone I talked to agreed with that. Lots of kids there. You can easily spend a whole day there. The playgrounds are amazing. Even the boats are free! Very well managed and organized. Since it's relatively new, not sure if this place can continue to be great once initial funding/grants run out.
I came here with my Dad and my Great Uncle, it is such a beautiful place to walk to and hang out at for an afternoon, or a whole day. There is a café that serves Ice Cream, and there is a study quiet space above it. It is for all age groups there is a huge park that has multiple sections for little children, and for kids 11 and under and may be for some teen place. Full of trees and flowers, and has a river around for biking, and bringing your dogs, and just to take a quick stroll. Genuinely made me happy to walk around in a place like this and see how innovate the city was with making a part like this. Best of all! It is completely free, please check it out when you have the time to do so.
The most amazing park!!! If only I was younger ...or maybe just shorter There really aren't enough good things you can say about this place- it's beautiful and really huge with walking trails and playgrounds as far as the eye can see. It's really easy and comfortable to spend several hours here. The cafes and clean restrooms make it very easy to enjoy outdoor fun.
We absolutely loved this place. We had a wonderful time. So much to see and do here. We mainly stayed on playground and was there for 2 hours and could of stayed longer. Some pro tips: there is parking much closer to playground. We wish we would have known this. We parked pretty far away. It gets hot really quickly in summer. By 11 we were all really hot.
This is the most awesome public park I've ever encountered anywhere. The playground items are beyond cool. All are very original and superbly done. My two grandsons, ages 8 and 3, loved each and every thing there. They climbed, crawled on and swung to their hearts content. Three hours flew by for them and us. Food and ice cream is available at pretty reasonable prices for that type of place also. It's enjoyable for adults just to walk through and see everything but kids, wow, it is almost more than they can take in. Check it out if you're in the Tulsa area. You'll enjoy it more than you think you will, guaranteed.
