I visited a friend after traveling from Pennsylvania to visit for the summer 2022. The dogs are friendly and the people are welcoming, friendly, and just give off the PNW good vibes. Great upkeep and poop bags available.
This is a great place to start your Hike on the Clear Creek trails. The nature adventure is wonderful. The trail over the last five year has been improved 500 percent. Well groom, very safe, dog friend. While on the trail there are very well do fun facts stations and interest facts. We saw bat houses, falcon on the hunt, beaver dam and Big foot fun to find. There are very short walks and some longer ones. This is a favorite starting point for runners.
Nice walk when you don't want to get too far from town. Saw frogs, snakes and birds. Dog-friendliness: Dog park is fenced and bags available for trail although there was a lot of dog feces along the trail, very stinky rude to do this! Also bags of poop left for ? to pick up. Poo fairy, I guess.
Our family of 5 likes both the dog park & the multiple trails that start or continue clear creek trail here. Parking lot can fill up evenings and weekends when the weather is nice. Playground: None Restrooms: One permanent outhouse style toilet on site without running water even though there is a water spigot at the dog park. Dog-friendliness: Fenced, off-leash dog park is popular after work hours and weekends. Another inner fenced area for smaller or less sociable dogs. Water spigot with dog bowls are available near the middle. Poo can near the entrance. Picnic area: Picnic table area near the trail head go left and it will be on your right.
Not bad but smells very strongly of dog pee throughout right now. Not sure if it's the heat + an uptick in visiting dogs or what because no one I've spoken to has complained about the smell recently. Pretty busy even during the week.
What an amazing experience! Just a little taste of the PNW, I deliberately left out the photos of the trail to inspire you to go check it out! It definitely lives up to the legend!
This is a really excellent dog park. Nice little area at the entrance for small or shy dogs, and a nice big area for the more active ones. Plenty of fresh water available, as well as a fountain in the middle of the big area. Usually plenty of dogs around to play with, and everyone seems to keep a pretty good eye on their own dogs, so any owners should feel comfortable with bringing their pups to play and socialize. The area is even large enough that owners who want to play fetch could conceivably do so without disturbing the ones in the main area.
The trails are beautiful. They show off how pretty the wetland is. My puppy had a lovely time playing at the dog park. Really cool spot to bring friends and family for a nice walk.
I love this park and trails. Just a nice sanctuary away from the business of life. So much wildlife between the beaver, heron and red wing black birds. Plenty of garter snakes if you are looking too! They love the sun.
It was a nice walking path. Beautiful natural scenery. They had a disability walk event there yesterday. My 12 year old son is in a wheelchair and it was a great path for him to utilize.
