We dined here with 8 people. The place itself was somewhat loud; the music and the people around us were just too much volume. And, the people were just talking normally. But, the food is GREAT. And, the prices were normal. Also, the staff was friendly. I had the pasta with mushroom sauce, which I highly recommend. The others had a good time eating as well. In the end it was a good experience :
A great place to come and have some drinks and food. It’s very friendly and the staff were great. The salmon was recommended by the locals but I didn’t fancy a main and had the chicken wings instead. Great cocktails also. It is happy hour between 4-5 too. So cocktails and draught beers at €7 and apertizers were €12
Best snitzel that I’ve had in a long time! I had the mushroom gravy on the side, so it stayed crispy! I indulged with a side of poutine. Great service, and tasty food!
Very busy location! But the staff members are very nice, try their best to help out,are very hardworking and patient. The food was brought out to our table after nearly 1.5 hours but it was great. Very good location. I guess me and my friends went there at dinner time that’s why they were so busy! Other than that great place! Will definetely go back! Thanks to the waitress Tammy for her excellent service and smiling all the time although she was very busy!
I chose the lamb and feta burger & my colleague chose the Gypsy schnitzel. You can tell the ingredients are great quality and handled expertly. Both meals were delicious. Managed a happy hour Moscow Mule, too. Didn't save enough room for dessert, which I regret, but I will be going back again! Next time I am going to try the grilled feta and other appies. Staff were friendly without fussing around you. It was busy & the locals had recommended it, which is always a good sign. Parking: It's next to 2 hotels, so plenty of parking available.
The food itself was fine, apart from some small improvements that could be made: the schnitzel was swimming in the sauce and the salmon in the bowl could have been shredded before serving instead of in one peace with the skin still on. Main problem was the kitchen management and service. The place seemed to be understaffed for such a busy evening. We had to wait quite long before our food arrived, and then suddenly the main course was served while we were only halfway our starters. The waitresses also seemed quite busy, our main course was almost finished before the plates of the starters were taken away.
Wow..,.absolutely floored with how great the food tasted here tonight. All 4 2 parents and 2 kids meals had their own unique flavor. This was the meal we needed after 7 hrs of driving today. Definitely will be back next time in town, take a bow Gateway grill!!!Food: 5/5
It's a small restaurant but they have tables and chairs outside, so, that was nice. The food was good and a lot. I got more for what i paid. We ordered Rice bowl and Veges $18 + Added chicken $5 And a Smoky Bacon Burger and a side of salad. My rice was a lot that I had to share it with my husband after he ate his burger. Waitresses were nice and friendly. They were accommodating as we asked for a cold glass because the beer we ordered wasn't cold. I enjoyed it and definitely would recommend this place.
Unbelievable Burger. We travelled all over Canada, from Australia, and this was the best burger I've had in years. Would never have guessed it, but 5 stars well deserved.Food: 5/5
Kalen catered my wedding September 2023 and I cannot recommend him enough! First of all, the food was amazing. We had a taco bar which was a huge hit for both adults and kids. Second, Kalen was super accommodating, requiring final guest numbers one week before the date and even was able to knock it down when we had a few last minute regrets. Lastly, Kalen and his staff were just so nice, genuine and actually reduced a lot of stress during wedding planning and the day of. I'd 110% recommend the Gateway Grill to cater an event in the future. Thanks so much Kalen!!!
