Food was cold. Had to ask them to take the veggies and potatoes back so they could microwave it. Wings and skewers were dry. It was a sad happy hour. Will not return.
Ok, Ok, I tried it again and again. The breakfast is better. There is a local residents price too for breakfast. They aren't open for lunch. I need to try dinner soon.
Had to wait about 5 minutes for a glass of water I requested while the server seated two other tables. When she did come by she said she forgot to ask if I wanted water - I had requested it. It wasn't very busy, but I watched a table get their food before mine even though they had arrived and ordered after I did. It seemed like it took 10 minutes more for my plate to come - a simple breakfast; bacon eggs, toast and potatoes. Nothing really stood out about the food. Seemed a bit on the cold side, the butter was not melted on the toast and the bacon was paper thin slices. They did apologize, comped the coffee and took 25% off the meal. Perhaps the server was just having an off day, it happens. I guess they tried their best to make it right, hence the 3 stars. Their pricing is above market rate compared to other breakfast places and the food doesn't match the pricing in my opinion. I understand that this has historically been a tough location and there is a very popular diner just across the highway, but I think they need to do better. Overall I am just disappointed. As a local it is going to be some time before I give this place another chance. One reviewer mentioned that there is a local's discount, not that I'm aware. The 25% discount they gave me prices the food about where it should be, especially considering the super thin bacon rashers.
Stayed at the Holiday Inn that it's attached to for a hockey tournament. Place was really good. They had a Prime Rib special Friday and Saturday night that was so good! The braised spare ribs are also very good. They put together a spaghetti dinner for the team one night and the boys were very happy and full! They accommodated the large group very well. The service was also great the servers were very kind and attentive and handled 18 teenage boys very well haha. Will definitely be eating here again next time we are in town.
I had my doubts initially... but after a good referral from family friends who go once a week, we decided to try it out. Nice and clean.. we were told we could pick any seating we liked. Staff was friendly and prompt and the food was WONDERFUL. So good in fact, my family returned the following Friday to try the weekly prime rib special. Again the food was fantastic. Calamari was perfectly done, flaky golden and tender, not at all fishy, accompanying side sauces great. Chicken alfredo penne was truly amazing, fresh and made with good ingredients while still so flavorful. Best I've had in a very long time. Second visit ... bruschetta for an appetizer was perfection. Best I've had in a while as well. All main courses were great. The chicken alfredo penne was just as memorable the second time, as was the burger and the prime rib special - which came with veggies, yorkshire pudding and garlic mashed potatoes that did not disappoint!!! The server from our prior visit remembered us and made a point of saying hello and checking to see how we were doing. Overall a surprisingly great experience both times, and quality dishes that will keep us coming back. Definitely worth a try!
Bar not a family restaurant. Staff is great and did apologize for the noise they to did not like working there. Food don't know I canceled my dinner- walked out. Not even finishing my drink. Why it was way to laud - noisy - boisterous -uproarious not a place for a nice relaxing meal. The band tried to over play the uproarious hockey team their was no place to even hear yourself or anyone. . It might have been okay if the nice level was exceptable but when you can't even speak to the people across the table that's way to noisy. Disrespectful and inappropriate it should be a BAR not a family restaurant. They should get a bar license. ....
Great food! They just created a new menu. The service was super, our waiter was Joe. Very helpful in explaining the menu. Quiet atmosphere when we were there
I stayed in the attached hotel The breakfast was a little to expensive for what I got.egg, bacon, hash brown, hollandaise scramble and toast . But the next day I had happy hour drinks and appetizers that where way more satisfying.Cold beer, butter chicken drumsticks and cheese rice balls and marinara. The service was friendly and timely
Me and my bf walked in hungry. 1st time We're supossed to be seated. We stood around for a few minutes even looked at the menu waiting. The lady at the bar gave us full eye contact when entering but didn't do anything. Once we started heading to the door she got snarky with us then wanted to seat us went next door to BP. Ps: how are we supossed to know the bar tender was supossed to seat us if weve never bin in.
My burger took forever - rest of table was half done meal. Restaurant wasn't busy. Burnt my mouth when I finally got it. No BBQ sauce on the BBQ Cheddar burger. Server brought a bowl over when I asked her if there was BBQ sauce on it.
