My parents were excited to stop here for lupper on our way through Peachland. We each ordered the French Onion Soup which was tasty personally found the amount of cheese a bit rich, though everyone typically loves it and a vegetarian & BBQ pizza to share. The veggie pizza came out extremely dry and overcooked and once sharing this, the server apologized and offered to have it remade. They had the incident rectified without a fuss and the second pizza crust came out great. Unfortunately their crust no longer seems to be done in house, so I'd probably not order pizza in the future. They were also very kind in giving us the veggie pizza at half off. Staff were very friendly, the environment is unique and makes for an extraordinary experience.
We were here on a date night. I've been here before and was charmed by the building and decor. Once again, it won me over. Our server was kind and fairly prompt. The food was ok. As someone who is German and has traveled Europe about 12 times, the spatzle and gravy were sub par. The schnitzel was a nice cut of meat and very crispy. The "Gastpan" has a bit of everything and is a great option for someone who loves meat. Overall a great experience.
Gasthaus on the lake is a must visit!! The serving staff are extremely friendly and genuine. The food is incredible and the atmosphere is so cozy and beautiful. The over all experience is 5 star for sure!
A thoroughly enjoyable experience with a nice German twist. The beet salad was delicious! Potato pancakes were a little too soggy for my liking as I would have preferred them to be more crisp but that is a personal preference.
It's still one of my favourite restaurants in the Okanagan and I was so excited that they've reopened! I was also pleased to see that the Schnitzel "France" was back on the menu as a special the night we went. Hope to see it as a permanent menu item again. The meal and dining experience was amazing as always!

Had dinner for four people, ordered about five dishes. Good quantity of food, very tasty. However, I personally do not like the noodle we ordered. I think it doesn’t have much taste.
If you are looking for ambience, this is the place to go. If you are looking for quality food with a good price point, pick another restaurant. Our server, Cori, rates 5 stars; atmosphere, 5 stars. The food left a lot to be desired and I rate it at 2 stars. I had the Huhner chicken Corden bleu. It was overcooked, the sauce that accompanied it was tasty, thankfully it made my meal digestible. My partner ordered the beet salad, which was fresh, and the goulash. She told me and I agreed after sampling it, it was flavorful however it had one morsel of beef, so basically, $9.00 for tomato soup.Not one of the other 5 guests with us said anything positive or negative about their meals, typically a sign that if your don't have anything positive to say... I'm not sure if there's new management or maybe the old management doesn't care anymore but this restaurant has gone downhill. A disappointing experience.
