Gas Tank Exchange

Do not use these people for any antique or classic car. They trashed my gas tank. Was quoted $200 but they wanted $300 when I went to pick it up. No way I was going to pay that for a buggered up gas tank. Used my money to buy good tanks from the US and learned my lesson. Told me to keep the one they were supposed to fix. Oh and the one called Toni meet me with only excuses and accusations.

Excellent service and work. I needed a larger fuel return line added to a tank for my project car and they added exactly what I needed and also fixed a leaking sending unit. Very impressed with the service and communication.

Brought my gas tank and filler neck here as the inside had surface rust and I wanted it cleaned out and lined and it returned back to me renewed. The reviews seemed good and showed a finished product where the inside and outside were refinished. Every gas tank renewal place through out the US shows a finished product inside and out. That's not what I received. The liner is very thin and you can see the metal underneath the coating in some spots especially on the baffle and on the adjoining wall surface. Looks like a rush job where they should have coated it twice but couldn't be bothered. The outside of the tank is as you see it in picture. They sprayed some rubberized coating on two spots where they opened the tank but didn't go on to finish the rest. Other customer pictures show a full refinished exterior. The filler neck was lined but you can still see surface rust on the inside of the tube. The liner also ran to the opening of the filler neck making it aesthetically an eye sore. Overall, the actual service provided is very underwhelming and if I had known this is what I was getting I wouldn't have bothered wasting my time or money. As far the communication, customer service and lead time that was also poor. 1. I was quoted $200 for the tank and $40 for the filler neck with a two week lead time. Their two week lead time turned into four weeks. I had to call right at two weeks to see when my tank is ready. I received some family emergency excuse. Fine... 2. Got a call at the three week mark to say it's ready. I took a half day off work to pick it up and Toni didn't write down that I had a filler neck though discussed three times prior to drop off and the filler neck was handed over to them at their shipping and receiving in front of her. Went to pick it and asked for my tank and filler neck and Toni asked me if I brought in a filler neck??? So the filler neck was sitting on the floor, not done for no apparent reason other than poor administration. 3. At the top of my invoice it shows a three year warranty. In the notes of my invoice it says one year warranty also. I guess this must be due to the lack of liner depth. 4. I had test fit a new filler neck to tank seal which was still on the tank when I brought it there. Their tech decided to dig a screw driver to take it out ripping the seal. I had to ordered a new seal. I didn't remove the seal myself T the time as I didn't want to reach in the tank and get myself dirty. 5. A few days after dropping the tank off Toni called me to tell me there's a plastic baffle inside that can't be coated. I knew there wasn't but told her I would get back to her. Called a few guys in the club to ask if this is true or not and they asked me if the shop knows what they're doing... I called Toni and told her it's all metal. She then said it's hard for the guys to sand blast it and that the liner won't stick to it and what do I want to do. I thought to myself who's the professional here, them or myself? I told her I brought my tank there to be cleaned and lined and with warranty. She said ok... In retrospect I should have just ordered a lined tank and filler neck from the US and would have had it within a week with less aggravation and a lot less disappointment.

Exceptional service. I brought my gas tank there for repair. The price was fair and I had no issues.

Welcoming environment, very courteous and friendly staff. Timely work, and reasonably priced. They did their best to fix my gas tank within the limited time frame I had, and completed the job quicker than expected without even a prior appointment. 3 year warranty gives the customer confidence in the quality of their work. My experience was nothing but positive, and I recommend their work to anybody in need of their services.
