Great Butter Tart Festival event! I'm sure their sports events are fun too - quite the literal hall Hall of Fame sports pictures and stories
It was first time when I visited there to celebrate and worship my first Lord Ganesh pooja pray in Canada. I was amazed to see the community and also young kids practicing Ice hockey. Has lots of recreational space, with small cafe shop and lots of parking space.
We visited the playground close to the complex - it has a nice structure and an independent rock/rope wall. No swings or ride-ons at this playground, but it is very close to the recreation complex and sometimes you'll find mounds of snow from the rink which definitely keeps a kid busy for hours. It's surrounded by a large field and a baseball diamond, so even if your kid gets tired of the playground there's still a lot of other things to do.
It was very disappointing to see the maintenance person walking behind a group of 3 middle Eastern men while waving his hand over his noise the gesture you make as if something smells and then laughing to about it to a group of parents there for hockey.nI did write a complaint with the lady at the desk at the front of the building.nnI have been told that the maintenance person's name is Justin. I hope that you have a discussion with them about this and maybe even some sensitivity or diversity training for them.
Went for butter tart festival. It was nice. Place was clean, washrooms clean. Very little parking for a facility that size, was overflowing into to the movie theater down the road. The desserts were good!
