All 3 of my kids went to this daycare. One of my kids did not have a good experience with a supervisor and after discussing with administration, they moved her into another group, after which she was happy playing with that group.nn2 of my kids excelled while my 3rd child is currently lagging in education. Even though they are suppose to teach them the alphabet and numbers, our third child is struggling with it. More effort should be put into teaching the alphabet when the child is 3 years old instead at the last year of daycare.nnFood quality is Halal but my child is not Muslim. They can not serve non-halal foods to the group and therefore no pork products are allowed. Either way, their lunch menu is on a 2 week rotation limiting their choices of different foods to taste. It would be better if they expanded their menus to 4 weeks.nnPlaytime outside has a great playground. In the summer time, they have a built-in soft ground water park and the kids can cool themselves off during the summertime heat. They also have a playground with slides and a sheltered area from the summer sun. The outside is a great play area for the kids.nCome winter time, once temperatures drop below -10c, the kids are stuck indoors which is considered most winter days. This is when the supervisors should take initiative and take them outside for a walk. The winter walk through the snow will help them expend energy and get their exercise the kids needs daily. It feels like the supervisors do not want to go outside due to how cold it is.nnIn the end, rated 4/5 due to the little quarks with winter time walks and cafeteria foods. If they step up this year and perform better and with a new menu for 2021, they will get a 5/5 rating.
This daycare lacks competence. Educators tend to chat with one another rather than looking after kids. My kid was left in the parking lot without surveillance while the educator was inside. Anything could have happened as the daycare is located on a very busy street. In my eyes its unacceptable, as a parent I am putting all my trust in the daycare service to take care of my kid while I am at work. Normally I don't waste my time writing reviews but in his case I think its important for any parent that is looking for places in daycare to acknowledge the fact that these situations happen more often than we think.
All three of my kids went there. They loved it, we loved it. Very passionate attentive care providers. Very safe place too.
It's hard enough taking care of your own child, imagine taking care of other people's. It's a hard job and they do a great job. The staff is very nice!
Very good daycare. My daughter attended during the Covid-19 crisis as an emergency daycare for essential service workers and she received exceptional care. A big thank you to Garderie Fabreville and their educators.
