Que signifie Gambrinus ?
"Faute de dieu, la bière s'est donnée un roi en GAMBRINUS, personnage mythique chevauchant son tonneau de bière, une chope à la main. Il apparaît au XVIe siècle, notamment à Nuremberg, dans un poème de Burkart Waldis, daté de 1543. GAMBRINUS ne dispose pas d'un support historique sérieux, mais on l'a déjà identifié à Jean 1er, duc de Brabant, appelé aussi Jean Primus. Au XIIIe siècle, il célébra une victoire militaire par un immense banquet où la bière était reine."
