The entourage and I really enjoyed our dinner. All of our meals were great as was the salad bar and $2 22oz draft bud lights yay. And our server was just absolutely fantastic.Food: 5/5
This place is a gem. The staff was absolutely wonderful and if you get the saganaki they light it on fire at the table. The salad and soup bar has everything you could want and comes with a free trip with an entree. The portions are huge and you will probably be taking leftovers home. The fried button mushrooms… best I’ve ever had. My galena steak special was delicious as were the ribeyes our friends ordered. My wife got the salmon that was equally as good with the garlic mashed. Only issue with that is that we found a pin bone in it, but these things happen. Next time were skipping the appetizers so we can save room for desert. Definitely check this place out!
Another bad evening on New Year's Eve Made reservations and then we got there, they didn't have our name down. Had to set in the back room where it was hot! Heat must have been on 80! No more sirloin steak either. Way too expensive now. $$$$$ They changed the menu again. We've been coming here for over a year. It's been pretty good. Love the salad bar. We have a good time. But the last 3 times we've been here, the cook doesn't know how to prepare a rare steak. My husband has to send it back to get it right. How does this happen? Then our waitress said she was entering it in wrong on their new computer system. Still learning...But that's what she said to us the last time when his steak came back too cooked. per the manager the system is 6 months old. Then I asked how much for broccoli with my meal. Waitress said $1.00 extra. So we both got it. When we got the bill, the broccoli was $4.00 for each. Found out that it was entered wrong on the ticket. Manager fixed it though. Also, we asked for some rolls for our soup, by the time we got our rolls our soup was cold. I just hope either the new system gets better or the waitress or the cook... Idk. All I know is that we are very disappointed with our past 2-3 visits. Management needs to get to the bottom of these issues.
$5.99 Half Ham and Cheese Panini American cheese, ham and mayonnaise on garlic panini bread with fries. That's a good deal! $5.99 Half Philly Panini sliced steak with sautéed onions and peppers, and mozzarella cheese on garlic panini bread with fries. That's a good deal! $13.99 Kid's steak 6 oz with fries with 1 trip to the salad bat That's a good deal! $25.99 Mike's steak 10 oz marinated NY strip with fries and salad bar. That's a good a deal! $8.99 Reuben sandwich carved corned beef with sauerkraut on marble rye bread with Swiss cheese and fries, add $2.99 salad bar. That's a good deal! Not only it was a good deal for a lot of food, it was delicious and satisfying.
Stake was tough with no flavor. Hubby got a hamburger that was 12.00. Do not get a hamburger there. Go to Rivers Edge. We were very disappointed .
My husband and I have been here twice and will keep coming here for any celebration, date night, anniversaries etc. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. First, the staff is always so kind and welcoming. The food is amazing! I got the ribeye with lobster with salad bar I absolutely love this place and cannot wait to bring relatives from out of state here. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
My husband took me here for a date night. The food, service, and atmosphere were all great. Get reservations, though. We went during the week, and they were turning people away.
Great small town comfort food with fantastic service. This place does not pretend to be a Chicago steakhouse and it isn't. However, for a quality meal on my way back to Chicago from a trip to Iowa, it hits the spot. The staff is top notch. Very attentive to the diners. You leave with a smile.
Loved the food, great dining experience... Staff was really nice and attentive. You will leave happily satisfied from the experience and cost. Definitely going to return.
This place has everything to make it a great steakhouse, except good tasting steak. Put some seasoning on it...
