Caught a weeknight showing here last week and honestly it was such a solid experience, way better than fighting weekend crowds at the bigger city theatres. The seats were super comfortable and had plenty of legroom which I was not expecting, and the sound system during the trailers alone had me hyped for the movie. Staff at the concession stand were friendly and quick, got my popcorn and drink in like two minutes flat with zero lineup stress. Definitely going to convince the crew to make this our regular spot instead of driving all the way to Oshawa.
Been coming to this Cineplex location for years and it still holds up as one of the better ways to spend a Saturday night in Peterborough. Went last weekend to catch a late showing and the seats in the UltraAVX auditorium were comfortable and the sound system was genuinely impressive. The staff at the concession stand were friendly and had our order ready quickly even though the lobby was pretty busy before the film. If you're a local looking for a reliable night out without driving to the city, this place is hard to beat.
I love the lobby design. Feels nostalgic yet fresh. I'm new to the city but it feels like I've known the place forever. And they serve you the best popcorns, preferably the fresh one. It just melts in your mouth. Tuesdays you get show tickets at 50% discount. Dolby Atmos is option is a cherry on top. Best theater in the Kawartha area.
There's underground parking available. You don't have to pay seperately. In the hall outside the theaters there is a machine to validate the parking. Comfortable seats and a decent amount of options for food. The sound is a bit loud, but that's part of the experience.
It’s unfortunate that I even need to make this review, but I’ve become increasingly aware of a staff member in their late 20s at this cineplex who has been actively flirtatious with minors among the staff. I’m not comfortable bringing anyone I know to a place where this individual works, let alone knowing that management has barely given him a slap on the wrist. They are fully aware of him and have done nothing about it beyond telling him not to.
